If he's not neutered, I'd start with that.. Humping is a sign of dominance and if your boy thinks he can hump you, he's thinking he's the boss of you.
I'd suggest picking up a copy of "Good Owners, Great Dogs" by Brian Kilcommons and Sarah Wilson. In order to stop this behaviour you're going to have to become the boss and part 4 of this book can help..it gives you tips and tells you how to achieve this. Caeser's Way (Caesar Milan) is a great book for what to train but Kilcommons' will help you understand how to train.
For the immediate time, keep a leash on him (only when you are supervising) in the house and when he STARTS..as in when 2 feet leave the ground, before he is even on you, give a quick correction while saying OFF. As the leader, you control when he's allowed in your space.
Good Luck!

My dog used to do this a lot and I asked the teacher at puppy school about this. She said that the dog is trying to dominate you by doing this (and doing it also for other obvious reasons). She said that when he does it, you should say NO! Put him on his back and say "I'm the boss!" and hold him there for a bit. I didn't like doing this very much because I felt mean, but it worked a bit. Neutering him really helped a lot more though! He still humps this one stuffed animal and we just let him because it's his. Good luck!

I don't know what you're talking about the first part, BUT humping is a dominant thing. I knew a cocker who had this huge bunny that she absolutely loved to hump. You can't really stop him from doing it, he's a dog.
Now, if she starts doing it to you, then you've got a dominance issues with your dog.
And, you may want to consider getting him neutered. It doesn't always help, some dogs just like to hump.

Is the dogs getting adequate workout and stimulation once you're at your mom's living house. all the behaviors you describe look indicative of a bored dogs that may not getting adequate walks, play, workout and education. A husky lab blend is going to have a lot of pent up potential which will come out in detrimental techniques if the owner isn't offering a reliable way for the dogs to launch that potential.

Is he neutered? Depending on his age, he may have reached his sexual maturity...or, he's VERY confused...OR he's just a really happy pup! Sometimes males (and some females) do this 'friendly gesture' as a sign of dominance. (I've witnessed my female being friendly with my male!) And yes, it looks gross because they're my kids! UGH!
As far as getting him to stop, try focusing his attention on a new dog toy, a rawhide or take him for a walk.

Well you say he is still a puppy so everytime you see him doing "that" just give him a squirt of water and since dogs don't generally like to get squirted with water this is a way of telling him no without screaming or scolding your dog!

This is usually a dominance issue, and the cure is to be more dominant. When he does it to you, discipline him. If that doesn't work, then the next thing to do (which people swear to me has worked!) is kind of gross. If he doesn't accept that discipline from you makes you dominant, then you have to do what he understands. In other words, you need to get down on his level, hold him down and hump him yourself. Please don't do this where the neighbors or children can see, though! I've never had this problem with any of my dogs, but I worked with a woman who did and she swears it worked! Really, this is not a joke!

if you consistently scold him when you see him doing it, he may pick up on it. You can't be lazy about it though. You have to scold him whenever you see him doing it, not just sometimes or you will confuse him. I'm not sure you could get him to never hump your other dog, but I think this would work at least on people if you kept it up long enough. Also, don't be afraid to scold harshly and maybe pop him on the ****. Dogs don't learn very well from baby-talk scolding. =)

my german shepard does that too but hes too old to get the habit out of him now but since youre saying 'puppy' then i can answer this for you. every time he tries to get friendly then have a spray nozzle full of water ready and spray a little in between the eyes then carefully wipe it away so it doesnt get into his eyes. then say "bad dog" and give him the look that he will always remember (it can be ANY look because dogs HATE it when you stare at them) just remember to still play with him and exercise him dayly so you and him dont grow apart.
never EVER yell at him or smack him because that causes your puppy to be scared of you
another tip ; dont use the squirter in the cold weather because it can freeze on your puppies face and then youd have a pupsicle (and you DONT want one of those)

Having him neutered will help but until you do then just stop him from doing it and let him know that it is not good behavior. A firm NO Off will do it. But you have to be consistent.
