They say all cats have their own personalities, what is yours like?

Wow, nice question, Emmy!

If I had to put down her personality, I'd say she's compatible (I can put her with any animal and there is no conflict or problem), loyal to us (people have tried to feed her and keep her from us, and she came right back first chance she got), open-minded to new training, adaptable to new environments (like new houses and moving to new countries), careful (never harsh with other animals or new people or oebjects), compassionate (when my mom died, she knew something was up and comforts me whenever I am sad without me saying anything), forgiving of our mistakes.
She's five, and readily accepts new training. She also cannot sulk for long. She has her insane moments, her playfulness hasn't gone, neither has that little kitten who wants a mommy to nurture her.
Even though she is an animal, personality is psychology is applicable to any living being, even a fish, which can be shy or afraid as nature.
Stimulus and response defines behaviour, not personality. Those are two different things. I can teach a cat to be careful of a car, but cannot teach a cat to forgive me. Certain things animals are born with, others we can condition.

My boy HISS is neurotic; and that is not just my opinion, the vet said he is. He has a bad habit of attacking his own tail to the point of having a 2 inch gash in it, and blood up my walls from when he whips around to get it. (he only does this once or twice a year for about a week or two)
But when he's not attacking his tail, he acts like a mischievous little brat. When I was wrapping Christmas presents he was playing in the bags, then I noticed that he was very still. I asked him what he was doing (we all talk to our cats, so don't laugh), and he immediately tried to run away holding in his teeth, the package of furry toy mice that was to go into his stocking!
He also knows when he's done something wrong. I can walk into a room and he will run away, before I even get a chance to think that he'd done something wrong... so I then know to look for something out of place.
So I'd say he's a neurotic, spoiled, brat... who always keeps me laughing.

I've heard of that theory
I'd like to find out.
I desperately want a cat, but i already have a dog,names Toby
Terrier/spanial and he might rib the puss to pieces
that's what I'm scared of
but they are SO cute.
some cats can be selfish and just ignore you, until they get what they like
I suppose its not a very emotional with cats because their known for their distinctness
Dogs are users lol

I guess that right
there is a different personality for everyone

Caspurr is very affectionate but gets jealous easily. He's the oldest and keeps the other two in line. He's also the most intelligent and has figured out how the fridge lock works. Fabio is the most docile and the most clumsy, but very funny and poledances with the taps, wine bottles, handbags etc to get your attention. Gianni is the most nervous and hates strangers, sleeps the longest, is the most aloof and the most likely to sit on your lap and knead his claws into you. Very cute though.

Ok Emmie, you were helpful to me and seem balanced so I will tell you, and you alone, why I don't like the cat. We adopted him and he is a tomcat. When you pet him, you know that when he is done, you are getting bitten. He takes swipes at me when I walk by. He is self-centered and only thinks about himself and his own comfort. He is ridiculously finnicky about his litter resulting in...accidents.

In simple terms, if he were a person, he would be a jerk.

Unfortunately, my wife and son adore him. They say his personality is similar to mine....go figure.

My cat Buffy (I adopted a few months ago, she's 7) is extremely shy and scared. She has been in two homes before I got her. Poor little girl. =(
She comes out more when it is just me and my husband at home, and comes up on the bed for attention at night. She has gotten so much more brave since day one.
My kitten (he is going to be 3 weeks old tomorrow, he was an orphaned kitten I took in) is a little sweet lovebug! He is so darn cute.

I have 2 girls and theyre quite different, always have been!

Millie is brave and independent, but when its just her (without Cookie being around) she's an absolute cuddle-puss lol!
Cookie's a bit quieter, but is also a troublemaker as she knows we always blame Millie lol. She's also a great one for cuddles, esp forst thing in the morning.

Theyre Ragdoll X so they have the pretty Raggy face and thick fur but theyre both black all over. They drive me mental and the first few months were harder work than Id ever imagined but I wouldnt be without them. Oh, theyre both spoilt rotten and they run mine and hubbys lives!!xx
