It wouldn't get reported until after the court date. I suggest going to court and ask for traffic school. That way it will not be reported to the insurance company and your rates won't go up. If you pay the fine then when it comes time to renew the policy the rates will go up.

The insurance company will know when they run your license at renewal time, yes, your rates may go up, depends on how fast you were over the limit, and the way the officer wrote the ticket. Can you have it removed from the record? Unless you mitigate the ticket, and the court drops it, the ticket remains, for a period of three years for insurance purposes.

insurance will not be affected until you have your renewal. The ticket stays on your record for 3 years. The only way to get it off your recond is to go court and fight the ticket but you better have a good reason or hope the cop does not show up.

It will not go on your record until your court date. Some states will allow for traffic school to remove it from your record (cali does but utah doesn't) At that point, your insurance company checks your driving record periodically (on renewal, but not every renewal) So, I know this will be confusing but, it will be the renewal, after they check your driving record, after the court date. I have seen it pick it up on the next renewal and I have seen it be 4 years since we checked the record and the person was never charged for it.

Your insurance company will find out when you renew your policy or change companies. Speeding is the cause of most accidents and insurance frown on that sort of thing. To many and they will drop you! And yes the rates do go up!

After the court date is recorded but have you considered taking a defensive driving course, it will help you and you will not have to worry about your insurance company.
