I am a student - I need to get from the airport (LAX) to the city Victorville. Are there any buses? Or other ways to get to Victorville except by the taxi. The taxi is too expensive and I cannot afford it. Txs a lot for your help :)

One option would be to use the Flyaway bus from LAX to Union station for $3.50 then a Metrolink train to San Bernardino where some limited transit service is available to Victorville via victor valley transit. They used to have a commuter line that met up with Metrolink I believe at the Rancho Cucamonga station. Also there is a transit service between Lancaster to Victorville reached from LA by connecting from either Metrolink trains or Antelope Valley transit route #787. Greyhound does serve Victorville but the service is unreliable and seats for such local service are not often available.

Wikipedia is WRONG! According to Greyhound Representatives they DO NOT have shuttle service from LAX to their downtown Los Angeles terminal. They do have 5 scheduled buses daily to Victorville from Los Angeles. The fare is $28,00. You would have to find your own transportation to downtown L.A. from LAX, a distance of 12 miles.

At the airport, take the Metro Flyaway to Union station, in front of the Tom Bradley Terminal, $3.00 fare. Then at union station buy a ticket for the Southwest Chief on Amtrak for $18.00, its a daily train that leaves LA at 6:45pm and arrives in Victorville at 9:40pm. Total trip fare is $21.00

Greyhound has a bus station in Victorville. They also have a bus station in downtown Los Angeles. I do not know where their nearest bus station is to LAX, so, I just searched the web, according to Wikepedia, Greyhound has a shuttle service from LAX to its downtown depot.

Best wishes and good luck.

dwinbay, it's Lost Wages, and do NOT take a bus to Victorville, it might very well take you a few days. That's a long distance. Very long. And I do not believe buses go through the grapevine. Best bet is greyhound.
