I think it's great. What about you?

I think it is a very nice way for little children to learn, not only another language, but to also appreciate the cultural value and the culture itself of other people. The fact that a little children can at least learn to say some Spanish words to share with a friend, has a big value...both for the English speaker and the Spanish speaker.

I understand points like Sweet Dreamer's, but it is not like the show wants to make people stop speaking English. Why would it be bad for people to know an additional language? Isn't it just an advantage? Incidentally, Dora's show here in Latin America teaches children to speak English, the exact same way it teaches Spanish over there. It is a very nice chance for children to learn.

Would people mind if it taught children Afrikaans or German? What about Yiddish or French? Why is it that many French people speak Spanish and viceversa? Because they are countries right next to the other...why you would not like to understand what your neighbor says?

I think it is fantastic that my daughter is able to learn words in another language while enjoying herself. She loves Dora, Diego, and Handy Manny. I feel like I learn something too. I know learning Spanish is a delicate issue for some, but I think it is just wonderful that my daughter will know a few basic Spanish words before she gets to school. It would be great if there were shows that also taught French and Chinese and German, etc.

I think it's freaking awesome. Kids should learn to speak Spanish. I am trying to learn how to speak it from my boyfriend.

People who believe that their children should not be able to speak Spanish because this is a English-speaking country- are you racist? No, serisouly. You most defiently sound like it. While I understand they are your personal opinions, I believe that's a bit racist.

Speaking Spanish will help these children get better jobs in life, by speaking more than one language.

I think Dora and Diego are awesome characters!

God Bless!

I think it's excellent. My uncle started teaching me Spanish at 6 years old after a trip to Mexico. I loved it and was able to whiz through Spanish in high school and CLEP out of it in college. The retention at that age is amazing. God knows that 30 years later I couldn't even teach myself a language again.

i dont see why sweet dreams objects to it.
racist b****.
im mexican. and i was born here.
did that lady forget that a big part of this country was mexico's, and that a lot of places have spanish names here in the u.s.
this country was built on different nationalities.
i think the show is great, it allows them to learn more.
to expand their knowledge.
For those who dont like it, move to england where everything is english. and straight up just dont watch tha shows, but your not gonna get your children away from it. its everywhere, all around them, and there gonna have friends who speak different languages. and it teaches them from an early age that there are different kinds of people in the world.

I think it is good. It helps them learn at a young age and hopefully it will stay with them. But I think that it should be the other way around. I think their should be Spanish shows teaching English. English is this nations first language. They should be teaching our language. The Hispanics are the ones coming here its not like we are going there. If we were to go there to Mexico then i would say we should learn Spanish. but anyways they are coming here and not learning English well most of them arnt so yeah its a good show to help learn Spanish. Anyways now that i am off the topic.Dora is alright i haven't seen Diego.

i like the show myself , and the fact that my children can learn a different language, for the people who think that we should only speak English in this country and how come their not teaching children English. They need a month in us history. the land belong to the native American, we came to this country and took the land, and brought are language here. if the native American can learn are language and accept what happen in the past to be the past then we should be open to other cultures, which does not harm this country , not every person who came here came from English speaking parents, that's why were called the melting pot.I seen allot of white and black Americans who families history came from other cultures, and they can still speak their native language.
