I am pretty sure I have anorexia.
I want to eat normally again, I want to get my period again, I want to not think I'm fat, I just want to be normal.
What should I do? SHould I tell a Teacher? I really don't want to tell my parents, they are always busy and they won't understand. SHould I tell a Physchologist?

Heya, I struggled with an eating disorder when I was a teen (not too long ago, I'm 22 now). Yes you will want to find someone you can trust and talk to them, tell them how you feel and why you think you feel the way you do. Do you have a youth pastor? That is someone that really helped me. If not, find someone you trust, you really should tell your parents, they'll make time for you. I know a great website if you'd like to read about anorexia to get some information (it might help when talking to your parents about it), there's also a list of books and help resources on there as well.

I hope this helps, try to understand how much you need to talk to someone, my good friend Kat died last july from anorexia, she died of conjestive heart failure and was only 23 years old. Get help!

dont tell a phscologist, they make everything worse & tend to make you go deeper into your illness. but you should tell your parents, even though they are busy & dont (& probably wont) understand that doesnt mean they dont love you & wont take the time out of thier day to find you some help. even try calling a hot line, or if you want, be secretive & register online in a secret help program (they have some but i dont know what they are called) you dont have to go anywhere or tell anyone & y\they have open AIM like sessions where a real psyciatrist helps you (:

Yes, please do confide in a teacher or a school nurse even a guidance councilor. Many medical conditions can come into play with such a condition. Some damage may not be reversible. Ask for the help.

Talk to anyone you trust. Someone you feel comfortable bringing your problems to, and who you trust to give you sound advice. It really doesnt matter who it is, but it will be easier if its someone that you can trust.

Best thing you can do: Tell someone as quickly as possible!

definetly...tell a teacher, school nurse or counselor. i'm sure you will find them very receptive to your request and help you develop a plan to attack this problem. eating disorders are hard to conquer by oneself seeking outside help is a very good idea.
