only cardio makes you lose weight.
sit ups (they are for men to build bigger muscles, crunches are the ones that make lean abs) will make your belly look bigger since there is gona be muscle growing underneath the layer of fat.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Concentrate on fixing your diet first. You have to lose the fat over your abs before you would notice anything so doing as many sit ups as you could til june, wouldn't help make your belly flatter. For the next two months, eat clean foods (vegetables, grilled meat, fish, etc), do a good amoutn of cardio exercise, and maybe like two or three sets of 15 crunches 3 days a week, and then you'll see some results by June.

i do 100-150 reps religiously everyday. so work on it slowly. start at 40 then increase it as you feel comfortable with it.
