Well i have had male cats that have been nuetered and they still acted like they were fertile. And that was two cats so I would have to say that it is still natural.

Without ovaries, she should be unable to come into heat. Occasionally, a remnant of ovarian tissue is left behind by mistake. This can lead to some annoying behaviors as the female cat comes into heat (though she would be unable to get pregnant if her uterus has been removed as is customary with spaying). Special testing or even surgical exploration may be needed to determine if there is an ovarian remnant.
Also, some cats still feel the hormonal changes after spaying, more than other cats, and probably just needs time to adjust.

you didn't say exactly what she is doing or how she she's acting, but just going on my experience with my spayed female cats now and previously I'd say no. when a female is in heat it's very clear from her meowing and body language. sometimes they will nonstop try to find a way outside and it's difficult to get their attention. of course all these things will vary in intensity according to the cats personality. if your cat is vocal and rubbing against you it might be just the way she is. but remember all animals spayed/neutered are 'wired' in their brains that the most important thing is to pass along their DNA so some cats more than others will act out, to some degree, the ritual the goes along with mating. if your concerned enough to post this question I'd ask the cat's vet. because if she's acting out all the time something just might be wrong. good luck

I don't know how natural it is, but my cat is the same way.
Did your cat ever go into heat before she was spayed? Sometimes they REMEMBER the behavior, even if the hormones aren't there. Perhaps you paid more attention to her (how can you NOT, with all that howling!) when she was in heat, and she learned to behave that way.
That's my guess, anyway.
