Being rich is not a sin. Being a poor steward of what God has given you is a sin.

The problem is that sometimes rich people forget about relying on God to take care of them.

If wealth were a sin, then Abraham and Solomon wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell.

God isnt concerned with how much money you have only how you obtain it and use it the money does not make a sinner the person does money breeds greed the more you have the more you want if you have money and are afraid to be charitable with those who cant help themselves it would be a sin as long as you control the money and it doesnt control you it is not a sin in reading some of your answers God said a rich man can not enter the kingdom of heaven no more than a camel can go through an eye of a needle in biblical days the people loaded their camels to take for merchandise and in order to get into where the traders were they had to enter through an oval door the camels had to get on their knees and crawl they unloaded their wares and put the camels through and carried their wares by hand

According to Jesus, the love of money is the root of all evil and it is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. He also say that if you have enough food for today and clean clothes to wear and a roof, you are rich. Kinda puts USA between a rock and a hard place. I know very few poor people in USA but many who complain that they are.

Money is simply a by product of doing good and kind things. People are attracted to love and joy and it generates wealth. The mistake is forgetting original goal of the good works and focusing on the waste product (money) the main reason for your work.

Money is like fertilizer. Just spread it around the garden of your life to help the things in your life grow. Don't hoard it, or it will start to stink.

Any situation in life (health, sickness, wealth, poverty, etc) is an opportunity to do good or bad. If one thinks that the purpose of life is to become rich, that is a problem If he misuses his wealth that is a problem. Cheating etc to get money is a problem. But as was said above, Abraham, Solomon and other righteous people were wealthy.

money itself is not evil, but the love of money is really evil. Love of money leads to greediness, abuse of others, envy, love of materialism, and the self-destruction of the spiritual life. It is what you do with God's blessings, which in this case is money, that matters. Will you donate some of it or keep it all to yourself?

"For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." I timothy 6:10

money can be the root of evil. It is not evil. It's what a person does with their money that is important. God told us to care for the unfortunate. If you worship your money by making it the center and purpose of your life, ignoring family and poor. if you crave the power of money then you have a problem that needs repenting and changed. Will you burn in Hell for it, no...not if your saved.

Rich people can't go to heaven. Eye of the needle and all that. Following christ means giving up your money according to Jesus. Anyone who tells you differently just wants some of your large amounts for themselves.

I love the quaote by Rick Warren, author of "The Purpose Driven Life" that has sold millions of copies world wide. He said "It is not a sin to be rich. It is a sin to die rich." In other words we are not given wealth simply for our own enjoyment and satisfaction, but to share with and empower others. we are "blessed to be a blessing."

well the reason is that your supposed to give half to the poor people think that it would be harder to be a good person with alot of money and that it would promote evil personally i think i would have a harder time being a good person but it all depends are you going to think your better then God when you get the money are you going to stay humble these would be the questions you would have to ask yourself. would you be able to do what God says your supposed to .
