You could use flower arrangements like this, either for places like the cake table or to alternate with candle centerpieces:

Hmm...well my personal opinion is against too much of a theme in any wedding. A few things that match or compliment each other are fine, but zealous brides sometimes go overboard with it. I was at a wedding where the "theme" was Cinderella, and it was just nauseatingly overdone. Cinderella slippers with candy on the tables, Cinderella invitations, Cinderella cake, it was a lot to take in, and actually decreased from the elegance of the wedding. To me a theme is usually reserved for a birthday party. That isn't to say you can have a color "scheme." You should be thinking about what colors go best together. You could do those colors, but I just wouldn't plaster American flags over everything just ot make it match. Good luck to you!

Ok before the thumbs down start following me--I'm not being negative, just realistic. I love the idea and think red white and blue sounds gorgeous.
But...
Have you actually found navy tuxes?
I have never seen them. I have seen black tuxes with blue vests. Or navy suits for less formal weddings. But I've never seen a navy tux so it may be really difficult to find.
But I love the red bridesmaid dresses and you could have a gorgeous red white and blue bouquet. tied with red, white, and blue striped ribbon. But I'd have the groomsmen with navy vests but no tie. Then you could have bridesmaids all carry white flowers (that would give great contrast) and groomsmen wear white boutineers. OR if you really want to be the only white-- you could have their flowers the opposite. The boys in blue wear red flowers, the girls in red carry blue flowers, like irises. And there are so many great flowers in summer to chose from.
Your bouquet could be like this

or something like this with more white

and wedding cake like

http://www.yourbigevent.co.uk/img/cake.jpg
with strawberries and blueberries on it instead of flowers...
and your centerpieces can be in pots like this if you want to get really 4th of July, instead of subtle

Gorgeous. I love the idea but I'd check on navy tuxes before you get your heart set on it. It may be the hardest part.

I don't have a picture, but I can picture it allright. It sounds like a lot of fun and what a terrific idea you have. I would also have the grooms wear a white flower in their lapel and add some white flowers for the bridesmaids either in their hair or around their wrists. Congratulations and much happiness to you and your future husband.

That sounds great.
Going back in history, during WWII, many weddings were patriotic themed, usually because the groom was either on a weekend leave or shipping out very soon.
If you register on www.modernbride.com, on the message boards you will get lots of great ideas for your wedding, including the tuxes.

My friends son got married 3years ago and they had it themed red white and blue, since hes in the army.... she had her grooms men wear a tux, but their vest and ties were either red or blue and her veil had 3 layers and each layer had either R,W,B satin lining.... i hope this helps in some way.... sorry no pics.... but instead of the white vest and ties you can do red and blue... that would look nice!!!

I think that would be nice for the groomsmen. I don't have any pictures but you have several different choices for decorations. Have fun with this idea and Best Wishes!

Your wedding day is however YOU & YOU'RE fiance want it to be. I don't think that it would look stupid. Maybe they can go for fittings and you could bring your camera. I'm planning my wedding right now too! Best wishes! :-)

Anyways,if you want to know if it looks stupid have your man go with you to the tux store and have him try it on...make your decision then.

That would look fine for the groomsmen, have them wear a red cummerbund and bowtie. I hope you are planning to have red roses - that would look amazing!
