Having Glaucoma you are very limited to the types of meds you are allowed to take. Mainly what I take is Allegra, but is makes me sick on my stomach so I thought I would ask all of yall for home remedies. By the way I can take no over the counter drugs for cold or allergy. Thanks in advance!

I know how you feel. I have intercrainial hypertension. I can't have anything with the psudophedrine in it. But when I get colds or sinus infections i can take things like musinex without the psudophedrine in it, stuff for those with high blood pressure and glaucoma works, ask your pharmacist when looking for something. That way it doesn't interfere with my glaucoma like condition caused by the hypertension. Is this why you don't take OTC meds? I also use the nutty pot or however it is but I don't think that works with just a cold. bu it helps my allergies (i use alavert for that and nasalcrom which is okayed by my eye specialist and neurologist) other than that when i do really bad i do need to go to the doctor and i always a-ok stuff with my other docs i see. hopes something of this rambling helps you. Hope you feel better soon!

These kind of help with cold

1. boil onion take out onion and
add honey to the boiled onion water
2. red pepper seeds (like you use on pizza)

I have glaucoma and I have no problem with Pseudoephedrine. The real stuff. You have to ask for it at the Pharm. It can't be on display.

Three dead bodies turn up at the mortuary, all with very big smiles on their faces. The coroner calls the police to tell them what has happened.
"First body: Frenchman, 60, died of heart failure while making love to his mistress. Hence the enormous smile, Inspector," says the Coroner.
"Second body: Scotsman, 25, won a thousand pounds on the lottery, spent it all on whiskey. Died of alcohol poisoning, hence the smile."
The Inspector asked, "What of the third body?"
"Ah," says the coroner, "this is the most unusual one. Billy-Bob from Oklahoma, 30, struck by lightning."
"Why is he smiling then?" inquires the Inspector.
"Thought he was having his picture taken."
