that is for you to be convinced that there isn't a god? i'm talking about proof here. not something that happened thousands of years ago, that people can't disprove except through common sense, i.e. the world is way over six thousand years old, human did evolve, etc.

on jeff foxworthy's comment, you don't think telling people they're gonna burn for all eternity for not believing is a bit offensive?

matt, do you even know what you're talking about, or are you just reading something off a religious pamphlet?

Not much. I walked away from God for no good reason. God was near but I moved.
I think that the first time I doubted church ( I have a Lutheran background ) when someone told that children are not going to go to heaven if they are not baptized before they die. I thought that if that was the case, they should be baptized right when they head comes out.
Luckily I found my way back. God did not give up on me. : )

Since my belief in God doesn't hinge on any of the things that you mentioned, it'd take a whole lot more "proof" than you can muster up to convince me. Sorry to disappoint you, but my faith has survived over 40 years' worth of pain, suffering, disappointment, and losses.
Not much you can say or do is going to change my mind and make me deny the Savior that I love.

How much proof do you need that the universe was designed
for life to exist. If certain physical properties were minutely different, even by about one in ten to the power of sixty, we would not be here. Man we sure one the lottery on that one and we didnt even buy a ticket.

As a believer in God, and when I say God I mean to say the absolute true nature of ourselves beyond the physical world, with that said, I think that the proof is hidden in the knowledge that you exist, you are conscious of yourself and your surroundings, and that beyond is the single solitary thought that all this is a product of the mind.

You CANNOT disprove that JESUS CHRIST REIGNS. That's like trying to disprove that air exists. JESUS is ALL I need. His word is fire in my bones, air in my lungs, and water to my soul. I speak to GOD everyday and he is here with me now by my side ALWAYS! I AM ON FIRE FOR JESUS!!!!!!! I mean, he died on the cross to take away the sins of the world...he bridged the gap between me and GOD...and through HIM absolutely anyone can have salvation. I think that is pretty exciting and if you ever come to know CHRIST you won't need physical proof. (Although a lot of things I have seen I KNOW ARE DIRECTLY DONE BY GOD) It's pretty cool just to have this faith in CHRIST. IF you don't think that an educated person can be 100% in love with CHRIST without proof, than why don't you give it a try...its not like you'll have to come to CHRIST because there won't be physical proof right? AND TRUST ME, if you ever are in GOD'S presence, that will be proof enough.
IN JESUS PRECIOUS NAME

There is no proof that God does not exist and there is no proof that He does exist. I do not believe the world is 6000 years old....I do believe in evolution while still believing in God. Evolution has nothing to do with the existence of God. Besides, Christianity is not the only religion in the world.

what would prove to me that there is no God? nothing. Just looking outside I know there's a God. How could there not be? what else but God could have created the world? the big bang certainly couldn't just "happen" and everything coincidentally works perfectly down to the smallest molecules. So, nothing could prove that to me because there's nothing to prove.

I do not need any proof to say that there is not a god.
It is up to the theists to show that they are right.
Claiming that their holy book is right when it clearly contradicts reality is not a good start.
Why on Earth should I believe in any deity unless there is some good reason to do so? Just because something has yet to be explained does not mean that it has to be because GodDidIt.

There is no proof that you could ever offer that would convince me that God doesn't exist. I know He does, and the knowing is a soul-deep thing that one cannot explain in words to those who do not want to believe.
Peace.

"We're not trying to offend anybody, but the evidence that we have seen of Him in our small little lives trumps your opinion about whether or not He exists" - Jeff Foxworthy
God has shown Himself in my life on numerous occasions, how much more proof do I need indeed?
