I am looking forward to May 1 when the book "God is not Great" by Christopher Hichens will be released. Do you recommend any other titles that will debunk religion or reinforce it?

I am asking for recommendation on books both for and against religion, not on your personal beliefs or how i should feel.

GOD: The Failed Hypothesis; How Science Shows that God Does Not Exist. By Victor Stenger.

FREAKING AWESOME explanations of how physics proves God (the Abrahamic one) cannot exist.

How would you know if God is great or not? Have you talked to Him lately! Christopher Hichens is a fool and deceived, and if you read his book you will probably go deeper into the same deception than you already are.

I pity you! You are missing out on the greatest, most exciting and wonderful life imaginable!

Being a believer in God, and when I say God I mean the absolute supreme force in the world, that of true existence, such that anything in the world that exists, exists only through participation of God, with that said, I think that God is great. It's too easy ripping on Christianity, but what I am looking forward to is when people figure out the religion I am talking about and they start to criticize that. That'll be fun!

From the moment man opens his eyes to this world a great order surrounds him. He needs oxygen to survive; it is interesting that the atmosphere of the planet on which he lives provides more than just the adequate amount of oxygen he needs. This way, he breathes without difficulty. For the existence of life on this planet, the existence of a source of heat is essential. In response to this need, the sun is located at just the right distance to emit the exact amount of heat and energy human life needs. Man needs nourishment to survive; every corner of the world abounds in astonishingly diversified provisions. Likewise, man needs water; surprisingly, three-fourths of the planet is covered with water. Man needs shelter; in this world of ours, there is land on which it is suitable to build and all sorts of materials with which to make shelters.

These are only a few among billions of details making life possible on earth. In brief, man lives on a planet perfectly designed for his survival. This is certainly a planet “created for human beings”, as God said in the Quran:

“Do you not see that God has subjected for you all that is in the Heavens and all that is on the Earth, and has completed and perfected His Bounties upon you, [both] apparent and hidden?” (Quran 31:20)

If you know French, I suggest books by Gérard Messadié, starting by "L'homme qui devint Dieu".

God is not great, I agree, he is the greatest, and by him sits no other... King James I, 1611 version is the best, look at it and look for prophecies, the testimony of Jesus is written in the spirit of prophecy... :)
