I know that I'm not perfect and nobody is but if you would just change your perception of perfection couldn't we all be perfect in our own way? Did someone slip something in my brownies?

The "perception" we gain is how we mentally "accept" that perfection doesn't exist. That is how people can be perfect in their own way.

yes but the masses are brain washed -
I will explain the main way you { yes you } are manipulated and controlled . The main way is - mind control .

Wikipedia the online dictionary , describes mind control as - " A general term for a number of controversial theories and/or techniques designed to subvert an individual's control of their own thinking , behavior, emotions, or decisions . While terms such as mind control have been called " merely more scientific " - sounding terms for . . . brainwashing , the term is actually more general and can cover subjects such as hypothetical neurotechnology that , it is claimed , might one day " hack " the human brain . "

Humanity is mind controlled and only slightly more conscious then an average zombie . The question is not how many people are mind controlled , but how few are not . The masses are herded and directed by various forms of emotional and mental control .The few can not control billions of people physically , just as farm animals can not be controlled physically unless a large number of people are involved . For example - two pigs escaped a slaughterhouse in England and eluded capture for so long that they became national celebrities and there escape was made into a 60 minute movie on BBC entitled The Tamworth Two , see the article from 2003 - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3181347.stm

Physical control of the global population can not work . So it is then necessary for the people in " power " to control the masses in other ways and manipulate the human mind to think , act and feel the way they want you to . It's an old saying that if you want someone to do something , get them to believe it was there idea . When a person is persuaded by advertising or hype into buying something they don't really need or want , you are being mind controlled . When a person hears a news story and allows it to affect there perception of a person or event , you too are being mind controlled . Look at the military , from the first day a person arrives , they are told to take orders without question , a guy with colored badges tells a person to shoot someone they never met and know nothing about , yet they do it because they are mind controlled . The list of mind control is endless but the answer lies in taking our minds back , thinking for ourselves and allowing others to do the same without ridicule or condemnation for the crime of being different . Only then can the few not control the masses and only then can we will be truly free .

Remember - If people believe they live in the land of free , they will not argue that they do not .

Yeah, Somebody did.
It depends on your view of perfection. If you mean perfection in the sense of Beauty, appearance, and personal taste, then Yes. It is all about perception.

If Your talking about functionality, then No, it's not. I'm not "looking down" on anyone, but No-one who was born blind or with a crippling defect that keeps them confined to a wheel-chair will say "My body is perfect the way it is". They recognize & deal with the imperfections which keep them from living a normal life every day, and would LOVE to have them removed.
No-one with crippling emotional problems brought on by chemical imbalances would say "Don't fix my brain, It's perfect the way it is".

I believe God is perfect, and when I say God, I mean the indestructible light of our mind, the mind that is freed of corporeal consciousness and so is unattached to all material things. Being unattached to all material things, it is not corrupted by anything, so it is perfect. Another way of looking at it, is that since it was prior to all things, anything that has a proportion of perfection in it, like a little bit of goodness, means that the source, the origin, has to be completely perfect.

I don't think it's about changing what is perfect, I think it's about perfecting our perception in order to see perfection.

unusual that..."math and good judgment is undebatable". as if not something new occurs in math and good judgment. And it occurs there because it "occurs" in concept because something NEW is determined upon*; And those judgements were "broached" or "breeched", regardless of. initiate through sourcing artwork through the european truth seeker karl Popper..who so a thoughts as i will tell isn't yet understood the following in philosophy (should be something to do with the burden-help plan thats dished up). besides, so a thoughts as some human beings are in contact if the smart extraterrestrial beings dont manage us like we do the dumb animals then all's nicely (exceptionally in good judgment and math through the seem-of-it). * through an "inbred team". E.g. dissimilar human beings, regularly a small volume. ( if a shorter answer to the Q no matter if perfection-is-concept,is needed, I side with that answer of The Voice of reason about engineering and tolerance bands.)

Yes. My perfect piece of pizza may not be your perfect piece of pizza. My perfect way to relax may not be your perfect way to relax.

Then again, "perfect" can also mean conforming absolutely to the description or definition of an ideal type, as in a perfect sphere. In that way I think perfection exists objectively.

I don't know if this answers your question, but I'm a lifelong musician. I perform, write, record, etc.

I've had some good musicians tell me that I'm a "perfectionist," and I'm really not.

I can understand that to THEM, I may look like a perfectionist, but it's all rather relative.

From where I stand and measure up, there are performers that I'm positively in AWE of. I feel "unworthy" next to them.

So, you see?

It does rather depend on where you stand regarding "perfection."

There's at least two definitions of 'perfect'; 1) pure 2) whole or complete. I like the second one better.

Perfection is a goofy term to me... forces people, at times, into believing they've got to meet some kind of impossible "standard" set by any given opinion at any given time.

Yes, I think whatever's in your brownies is in my potato salad.
