Let's just force them to obey American laws and pay taxes, and then when they proove to be good little serfs to the Empire of America, we let them become a State and write a Constitution of their own. Same way we gained the west. With coecision, killing, deportation, and re-education.

Because, it's against the UN charter for one state to achieve territorial gains by making war on another. It'd turn even more of the world against the US.
