CAROL,
YOU REALLY ARE ONE OF THE FORTUNATE FEW.
WHY?
IN AMERICA THE INCIDENCE OF GUM DISEASE IN ADULTS IS 3 OUT OF 4, OR 75%.
THIS IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHETHER OR NOT A PERSON'S TEETH HAVE IDEAL ALIGNMENT.
THE OVERBITE MAY BE CAUSED BY THE WAY THE UPPER JAW RELATES COMPARED TO THE LOWER OR THE WAY THE TEETH COME TOGETHER WHEN THE PERSON BITES. AGAIN THIS IS NOT REALLY A MAJOR PROBLEM.
A PERSON CAN GET BRACES AT ANY AGE, SO AGE IS NOT A FACTOR.
