Well, I don't look forward to it because I enjoy life. However, I am not childish enough to insist I will live forever or my "soul" (hah!) will, and I realise that my time is finite. I am sure I can cram enough interesting stuff into what little time I have, and I am also sure that when I die, I won't be around to feel bad about being dead.

great question! I've never been afraid of death. I see no point in fearing the inevitable. I'm a proud pagan. The one thing that you can truely say will happen in life is death. I find it interesting how some religions have "hell" to scare people to convert and "be good!" when we all should live our lives as we want. Be free. I live by one strong rule and that is not to harm anyone. I live by this and in life I am happy and I can do good, but some people tell me I'm going to "hell" which makes no sense at all. Death is the most natural thing in the world, so why fear it?

No I'm not afraid of death. It's not something I want to happen anytime soon, but being a Christian it's my belief I'll go on to someplace better. I do however, worry about those I'll leave behind and that makes me sad, because I will miss those people so much. Death is part of the circle of life. You are born, you live, and you die.

Death doesn't scare me, it's the thought of dying I don't like. I do *not* want to die a slow and painful death, I don't want to die of illness. I rather enjoy being alive and don't want it to end any time soon.
I have serious doubts about the existence of an afterlife so the way I figure it the best advice I ever got was to live life as if this is all there is: a life with no regrets.

I'm not afraid of death its self no. I'm a christian, and the only thing that scares me about death, is the way I'll go out. I have a low pain tolerance. I also fear for the people that don't know what they're getting themselves into.

I'm not afraid of death either, and I'm a Christian, though I do not agree that death was part of the original plan for mankind. If it was, why is there so much scientific evidence for the endless regeneration of cells? Science can't explain why we die, or why we don't want to die, but it sure can explain that the body shouldn't just stop renewing itself and die.
*A Christian who knows science- gasp!*
j/k :D
I don't fear death because I don't believe in the immortal soul or a fiery hell. I believe that when you die it's like being in a deep sleep where you await resurrection to life on Earth.
But I'd still like to avoid death, if possible :0)

I'm a Christian, and I don't want to die any time soon, although I do believe in the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting.
Being human, I just don't want to leave this life that I love so much, I want to be with my family, want to see my children grow up, hate the thought of leaving behind people and places I love. Yes, as a Christian, I know God in heaven could make it all more than right, but being human, that's just the truth for me.
I'm glad for you that you have no fear of death. It is impossible for me to put myself in your shoes; it would seem to take a LOT more faith to be an atheist than a Christian.
To think that this life is *all* there is, would make me sad beyond words.

I'm not afraid of death just the inevitable pain. Death is a part of life. I would be done doing my time. I'm more concerned about the ones left behind.

I am a Christian, and I wouldn't say that I am scared of death; I just wonder about what happens after death. I believe in Heaven and eternal life but I wonder what it's like and what not.

Jesus conquered death and Hell for me so I have no fear of dying, and actually look forward to it. If I didn't still have my wife and children to take care of, I would be glad to go now, right this moment even while I am typing!
Eye has not seen nor ear heard nor has it ever entered into the heart of men the things that God has prepared for those that love HIm.
And there shall be no more pain, nor crying, nor sickness for the former things have all passed away.
And God shall be with them and shall be their God. Read all of Revelation Chapters 21 and 22. WOW! What a glorious existence beyond this life! Can't wait!
BY THE WAY, THE THUMBS DOWN OF THE IGNORANT WILL NOT STOP ME FROM REJOICING! THERE WILL BE
NO REJOICING FOR THEM IF THEY DON'T REPENT!

I'm also an atheist, and I don't worry about it. Focusing on death is a waste of life. Life is too short anyway, and there's nothing I can do about dying, so why worry about something I can't control? I'm too busy having a good time.
