If you were to consult any textbook written before all the abortion issues, you would find that they all say that life begins at conception. Through our laws, we can still allow abortion as a form of self-defense, but we should at least acknowledge that it is a human life as a fact of biology.

There should be a due process for an abortion. A due process is a hearing before a panel with an appointed representative for the unborn. If it is necessary for the unborn to die, let's at least have the reason.

I think life actually begins when the fetus is developed enough to be able to exist on its own. I think abortion is a choice that should be left up to a woman and those close to her, not the government. But I also think that a woman shouldn't have unlimited access to elective abortions in the last trimester, simply because "she wants to", she had five months to make that decision. I think once you pass the point of viability for the fetus, it should be limited to cases where the life of the mother is at stake, or that there's something very wrong with the fetus that would make it "incompatible with life".

in my country (the Netherlands) abortion is, under certain circumstances, fully legal. Personally, I draw the line at an undeveloped nervous system and a nonfunctional/nonpresent brain. But that is personal and I would not presume to tell another person what to do in this matter. Because at the end of the day it is not my choice. I am not so comfortable with it but people don't decide lightly on these matters. Anyone up for an abortion usually has damn good reasons. It is no picnic.

It's vague. Right around 4 months it begins to develop brain function, so that's my answer. Abortion is about choice, but I think it should be safe, legal, and most importantly RARE. Abortion is not an easy decision, but it should be available to women who choose it.

Allow me to finish with this Post Script. I do not have a uterus, so my opion simply does not count. The sooner the world realizes that those of us who don't get pregnant shouldn't tell those who do what to do about it, the better.

As a gay male I am never going to be responsible for a woman getting pregnant and I cannot get pregnant myself.

I don't care what others do in regards to abortion. Unlike others, I know when to mind my own business.

Although I feel that it's more humane to abort a fetus prior to birth than to give birth to it only to let some theist send it off to die in war at age 18.

Human life begins in the fetus. I have mixed feelings about abortion to be quite honest with you.

I'm not crazy about the idea, but I'm also against making it illegal.

Are we going to return to back alley abortions and women throwing themselves down stairs?

Education and contraception are the way to go.

Besides, the over helming majority of the women I know who have confided a past abortion are Christians. Hardly a surprise. They do it so they don't have to face their religious family, friends and church.

The woman should have the choice to be sure, the law shouldn't force her to have a child. But I think there's a time limit to how long she must wait before making the decision. I know little about unborn babies so I wouldn't give a time of when.

Abortion isn't anybody else's business but the womens. These imbecilic pro-lifers need to mind their own business.

Don't like abortion? Fine don't get one, you solved your problem with it. Don't push your silly views to take aways a persons right to do with their body, or the parasite that resides in it, as they please.

Who cares. This question is typically asked by religious people who want to argue about god. Who cares. If god didn't want abortion, she wouldn't have made it possible.
