Is sex between husband and wife a sin? Is the world going to end by 2037? I am confused by the teachings of teachings of the Brahmakumaris. How can any religion teach such irrational and unscientific things ?

Modern day cults serve the needs of people with niche requirements. We are all programmed to have sexual desire so as to procreate. However, there are abnormalities in this world. There are souls who dislike sex. They lack sexual desire due to genetical reasons or it could have developed subsequently. It could be physiological or psychological reasons. Brahmakumaris gives such people a chance to live without any stigma. It gives them social respect so that they can live with dignity.
What you forgot to mention is that Brahmakumaris advocate that marriage itself is to avoided. According their teachings, if you are already married before you enroll in their religion, then you can keep the marriage by avoiding all forms of sex with your spouse.
No sex means that the world is going to come to an end. So, they also preach that the world is anyway going to be destroyed in 2037. According to them, a new world will be in place by 2037, when procreation will take place with the power of thought. More advanced than the present digital age !
However, normal people who join Brahmakumaris always get into such dilemmas. This is more so in the case of second generation followers who are compelled to follow the religion due to parental pressure. Many such people leave the Brahmakumaris. But, some stay on due to peer pressure or parental pressure or psychological impressions. Such people face physical and emotional trauma. They can not marry and yet the same time they enter into ugly, impuslive and illicit sexual relationships.
You need to decide your personal preferences. If you are a totally anti-sex or physically incapable, then go for it. Otherwise, you will be in trouble. If you are intersted in joining the Brahmakumaris religion but if you cannot forgo sex, there is only one solution. Get married, have kids and then join this religion. Anyway, they do not verify whether you are having sex with your wife. Ironically, some married Brahmakumaris have some of the kinkiest sex lives in the world because they have occassional sex. The fact that they believe it is a sin to have sex, gives them a big kick to break the taboo and have sex!
I also think that couples who think they lost the pep in their sex life should enroll with the Brahmakumaris for a few months so that they would be able to have great fun in sex !
Brahmakumaris has a wide network across the Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. However, its reach in the US is limited. Brahmakumaris also has some affiliation with the UN. I think that this affiliation is due to the fact that Brahmakumaris give an opporunity for a decent and respectable social life for sexually disinclined or disabled individuals.

Well, we never fully know when the world will end. In the Catholic religion it is the second coming of christ that will be the end, and that could be ANYTIME, literally, we will never fully know for sure. Sex before marriage is a sin, using sex for the purposes other than the purpose of making children is a sin, sex using any form of contraceptions, including withdrawl, is a sin. In the Catholics eyes, unless you are Catholic, its a sin to have sex if married by another faith like Anglican or by a J.P. (Justice of the Peace). Hope this helps.

What are they?
Life is life. You can't disconnect from it. So do what you enjoy at every moment and don't worry.
Walking, running, being ever more awake and present are the ideal thing for a human if he wants to enjoy...go with the flow. Don't get the mind stuck with thoughts, it's just a reflex organ, it reacts to everything...
You have thousands of thoughts a day, none of which will tell you who you are.
Be aware, purely and simply. You do not need to be thinking to be "aware".
