I have a sis who is very sociable, popular and glamourous. I have always been her fan growing up, however, now that I am a senior myself, I realize that our relationship is "one-way" - as long as I "applaud" her, she's pleased. When I look good or have my achievements, she isn't as appreciative. She isn't bad and can even be kind, but wants to be "first" in the attention dept. Even as we enter a place, she is watching for the attention of the paparazzi! In fact, will forget we walked in together. In a store, she'll race for the clothes to purchase ahead of me. That's fine. But she'll buy what isn't her style but mine!! Then I can't buy it or if I do, she'll rush and wear it on the next social so everyone knows she saw it first!! It's petty but it bothers me because it happens so often. I shop alone because of this sometimes but I enjoy her company otherwise... and this isn't the only situation! Does she suffer from ADD? my hubby thinks she does...she's a senior too!

As you can see people here on Q&A can be quite rude. I know how you feel my sister is the same way,we are 11 months apart. She always thought she was better then me,until I got my hair styled and changed my makeup then she was jealous of me and it felt good for a change. I no that sounds horrible but it is what it is .

That's "Dear Margo" if you're going to be accurate for Yahoo.

You two BOTH need to grow up big time. If you're competitive over a pair of jeans, that's just stupid. No one cares about your fashion woes when it comes down to their honest opinion of you or your sister.

Paparazzi? YOUR style? "Next social?" Get over yourselves and have a nice life.

ADD doesn't mean that kind of attention. it means that they can't put their attention on what they need to as much as they should.
