It may give them gas, but unless they have a sensitive stomach or an allergic reaction, then no. My dog enjoys cheese every now and then, but it is fattening for them.

cheese, due to it's bacteria content and fatening effects, should only be used as a treat, not as a daily diet in any amount. you need to phase the cheese out of your lab's diet, you've conditioned him to thinking that unless there's cheese in his food he can't eat it and if he just ignors a non cheesed meal long enough he'll get cheese anyway. who's trained who here, the human or the dog? lol

My dogs have all gotten cheese - but as a treat, but a regular part of their diet. It won't hurt him.
By the way, all my dogs love turnips, but what they like even more than that is squash - try it!! Most dogs love vegetables if given the chance. Just no corn - dogs don't digest it.

Cheese and chocolate are foods that you should never feed your dogs. The acids and bacteria in the food could do long term damage to the dog's digestive system and chocolate or mile could lead to death. If your dog is not eating well, consult a vet.

labs are prone to being overweight and many have issues with hip problems,, why on earth would you want to fatten him with cheese?? try a premium dry kibble ( canidae) and mix only 1 teaspoon of canidae canned - if you feel you must enhance his food.
