Fibromyalgia always starts in the neck and shoulders. That's the main trigger points involved in diagnosing this condition. I agree with the others who suggest you need to see a chiropractor. Chiropractors are far more aware of Fibromyalgia and its conditions. I've enclosed a link where you can find a good Chiropractor in your area.

I have written an article about Fibromyalgia, which is too large to post here. After you read it you will have a clearer understanding of what it is and things you can do at home to help yourself. I've enclosed a link to the article.

If you have any further questions please let me know,

Your doctor is full of wind!! Fibromyalgia is very real!!!
Sounds like to me that you may have some nerve damage from your fall??
Have your tried a heating pad? Ice packs? These could really help.
Without running different tests it is hard to determine what could be wrong. You need a MRI, CT scan, back, neck and shoulder x-rays. These things could at least tell you what is wrong.
I know all that cost lots of money. A MRI could run you over $1000.00 just for that test alone.
Try the ice or heat might help. Make sure you do not have the heating pad up to high don't want to get burned.

Good Luck
P.S. I have had 4 back surgeries so I know what pain is!!

Have you tried a chiropractor, yet? If not, I think chiropractic care may be beneficial. You don't have to have insurance to afford chiropractic care. Find one that gives a "time of payment cash discount". That means they charge you more if they have to file on your insurance and they charge you less if you pay at the time of your visit. Also, I think there is plenty of evidence now that fibromyalgia is certainly real.

I would go to a chiropractor.Ask friends to recommend one
I did the whole muscle relaxors, physical therapy, and exercises bit - the chiro and the exercises help the most!
[ If your doc doesn't think fibromyalgia is a 'real thing', get a new doctor. ]

Go to a chiropractor who knows what they are doing right now. Why haven't you gone yet? You are fooling around with the wrong docs and they are not getting you any better. Go now! You will be real glad you did. I did what you are and it took 23 years for them to figure it out and now it's too late to fix me. Too much nerve damage etc.
