This is a great question. Personally I would think the timing is absolutely perfect for an article on school safety. What would the school do in case of an emergency, a shooting, a stranger on the premisis. After the tragic Virginia Tech shooting schools need to address this and stop thinking it can't happen. Its only a matter of time before an elementary school suffers from it. I think a great article would be to address these issues and interview teachers and staff and find out what the answers are, what the school is doing to address it (if anything) and how the principal feels about it.

In my school we always have the current school news and up coming programs. We also have a advice column and some fun things like trivia and little quizes. One thing that would be awesome that we lack is a school comics page, comics drawn by students. Other than these things, important town or county news would be good as well as sports.

I would love to read about fashion and the new trends that are out. Bullies, friendships, popularity. Anything that you would read in a teen magazine. I love to read on eating disorder and drug issues with kids.

Get some information on your school's finances, like how much money you have, what it's being spent on...basically inform the student body of what is being done, and what could be done given the right influence...I like knowing what my school's spending its money on.

Well, I would like interviews to the students, or to the teachers about interesting topics. (Use your personal definition of "interesting topic" here)

Social issues are always popular: classicism, the privatization of hospitals, inconsiderate people who litter etc...
