um.. a lot of you seem to think we don't know eachother... we've been friends for a while now... so talking and looking into eachothers eyes is no problem... we see eachother almost every day... we talk about normal thigns..but our online conversations seem to die out...

Sports is the univeral guy language. It is how two men who are complete strangers can form a bond as if they've known each other for years simply by discussing sports.
Vehicles is another good topic.
But please don't start discussing if you have no knowledge of either one. You don't need to be an expert, but a little knowledge goes a long way.
For sports, pick some team currently playing. Look up a couple stats on one or two main players. That is all you need.

I know this is crasy, but I used this "if given a choice, do you prefer vanilla, strawberry or chocolate". You never know you guys might have something in common. Or if you had to choose a seaon of the year what would it be......the crazier the question the better, it shows you have a sense of humor. Make it funny, have fun with it, and he will lossen up, and gwalaa there you have it, a CONVERSATION!

ask him what he does for a living, get him talking about family, growing up, look into his eyes when he talks to you. Eye contact is huge in all conversations and guys love silliness...they don't like a girl to be too uptight, so live a little. Have fun, tell jokes, be yourself and the conversation will just fall into place :)

There are many topics that you can start out with when meeting new people, going on a first date, and etc.
Some of the topics that would make some good conversations starters is to ask the person what they are into, what kind of music they like, what do they enjoy doing when they are outdoors, what is their favorite place to eat at, and so on. The questions you need to ask are very simple. You want to ask them if they have any hobbies involving the outdoors like going camping, going hiking, if they like to go on picnics, and so on. This will help to establish a good conversation in the long run because this topic usually leads to getting to know the person better. What some of the things they like are, and some of the things that they do not like are.
Now we are onto asking about where they like to eat. This is a good conversation starter because we all know that we all love food, and of course humans have to eat food in order to survive so that is one thing that every human being shares in common. To start this conversation you want to ask them what their favorite food is.
For example you might want to ask them if they like Mexican food, or maybe American food perhaps. Once they reply to you, you respond with your kind of favorite food, and then you proceed to ask them which restaurant they like the most.
This good conversation starter is especially good with new dates that you go out with. This way you know where to take them when you take them out the next time you see them. Plus maybe you, and the other person might even like the same restaurant so that makes it even better.

okay secret on guys...they love to talk about them! haha no guy wants to sit there and listen to how you love to go shopping and oh my gaaahd she said this...LAME. what does he like to do? dont try and sound "cool" by talking about things you dont know about. and that doesnt mean dont start a conversation about them it means just listen. if you know nothing about football and your guy is a football freak have him explain it to you.
