I think the Fundie Christians buy into all of it. Thankfully there are many Christians who are not fundies and are quite liberal in their thinking.

Hmmm,
I am anti-Abortion
Not convinced about Global warming but think we should take all reasonable steps to conserve our resources.
Want to have the right to own a gun,
Pro Self Defense, or anti terrorist.
Pro free enterprise, pro business, (without business, where shall we work) but think monopolies need to be overseen.
In short, as a Catholic I may not be considered "Fundamentalists"
I am STRONGLY anti-Socialist, it is not working in France, why should we have to try it also?
I am not a Bush supporter, but there is no way I could have ever voted of Kerry or Gore.
I think Rosie is off her rocker and I don't believe that 9-11 was an inside job.
There are a few things about Democrats that I agree with, just very few, and the Republicans? I really don't think they are much better.
BOTH parties have forsaken us, ALL of us for special interests and now Power is more important than governing.
I am going to vote for a 3rd. Party.
Peace!

I know several devout Christians who are full fledged Democrats.
You can be a Christian and a Democrat.
You can be a Christian and a Republican.
God is not a Republican nor a Democrat.
I am a Christian.
- I am pro-gun. Though think we should have probably stricter gun control laws.
- I believe in global warming but question how much we can do about it.
- I am not pro-war but understand that it does need to happen sometimes.
- I am pro-business but I also like big-government in terms of helping the poor and the helpless etc.
I am an Independent.

Well, I'm an Atheist but I'm pro-gun, pro-war (on despotic, murderous dictators) and pro-big business.
I do believe there is evidence for global warming though.
Also, I know many Christian Democrats who support government handouts but are socially conservative.

I don't
I am pro gun. Everyone should own an AK47
Global warming is real and NO ONE should own or be allowed to use a CAR -- HEAR that OPEC!
War is not healthy for children and other living things
Anyone who thinks Microsoft should be broken up is a COMMIE plain and simple! America is a CAPITALIST country, love it or leave it! Go, Billy, GO! Make 100 Billion, 200 Billion! Go for it! It's the AMERICAN WAY! No one is stopping Oprah from making 12 billion and saying she has a monolopy on AFTERNOON TV with Dr. Phil, Rachel and Oprah! Go, Oprah, go! Tie up the station from morning til sign off, it's your right as an AMERICAN!
The last election I voted in had a WOMAN on the ticket as Vice President and his MOTHER DIDN'T EVEN VOTE FOR HIM so I stopped participating in elections when a SECOND RATE ACTOR carried 49 of the 50 United States! And NO, I didn't vote for that B Movie idol, I wanted the woman VP!
52% of America is WOMEN and the WOMAN LOST and the B MALE ACTOR WON!
Boy, talk about PARTY LINES
Women desert their own!
And that is why Hillary DON'T STAND A CHANCE in 2008
Because WOMEN DON'T SUPPORT THEIR OWN KIND
They vote for the CUTE GUY
And I beleive in God and Jesus DESPITE THE FACT REAGAN AND NIXON AND BUSH WON!
Dems, you put up a BLACK or WOMAN in 2008, be ready for 4 more years of REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT!
Remember history
REAGAN, a man, a second rate actor and so so governor CARRIED 49 out of 50 states with WOMEN being 52% of the voting popuations and the DEMS having a WOMAN on the ticket as VP!
THAT IS HISTORY!

I hadn't noticed it on this site.
But yes, the government has dedicated millions to creating a fundamentalist sub-culture in the US. One example might serve to illustrate the blind obedience of the masses. During a campaign speech, Bush addressed a large group of fundamentalists. He advocated all kinds of neo-con agendas, and got a resounding applause after each. On the issue of abortion, Bush vowed to *preserve* the decision of R. v. W., and keep abortion legal. The crowd, 99% pro-life, applauded just as loud as before, without skipping a beat.

Maybe just a coincidence that conservative values match with some Christian values? Look at some of the stuff of liberalism - abortion, homosexuality , government control of lives, anti prayer, perverse school curriculums, to name a few. Hardly Christian values.

Many Democrats believe that we should love our neighbor. Many Republicans think we should put up a fence to keep them out.
