Can humans need something yet be unaware of this need?

yes, some medicine agains a hidden disease

Surely there is.Most are unaware.Most have been decieved they thought they have it but in a false and evil way.Most dont care.Most dont think of it or have no need of it.Most dont believe it.
But there is a need deep inside us the urge.Some search if there is more to life.And yes there is.
JESUS is the urge we all need yet most are unaware of it or have been misleaded it.
The satan will try to keep us busy all our lifes,decieve us,steal us and try to blind us from JESUS.if he suceeds he destroy a soul.
But JESUS came and destroyed the power of death and sin.
John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.

Certainly! We all have need of spiritual food.. and few are the ones who 'buy out the time' for it. I have at one time in my life needed help for problems I didn't even realize I had! I have needed direction, when I thought I had it covered. I have needed love when I thought I wanted to be left alone... so yes. Humans often need something that they don't realize they need!

One of my flatmates is in desperate need of a swift kick, but I'm not sure we should count him as 'human' most of the time. Oh, and he is completely unaware of the gift we need to bestow upon his rather ample backside or of his need for aforementioned gift.

Yes. For instance, for almost the complete history of mankind, we did not know of the need for trace metals in our body, but we still needed them.
It is a matter of the level of knowledge that we have.

Yes. I often need to pee, but completely don't realize it until I find myself doing the potty dance. (The bathroom is kinda far from my office.)

i think so, many people feels incomplete because of this fact, they dont know what is missing so many stays incomplete i think.
