You didn't say why you thought she needed to go to the doctor. Why did you feel the need to interfere? Was your daughter neglecting a serious condition?
From how it looks now you had no right to interfere. Maybe if you give some more details it might look different.

You did kinda overstep you boundaries a little bit. You should have talked directly to you daughter and not gone to the nurse about it. Let your daughter cool off for a few days and then talk to her again. There may be a "reason" she hasn't taken her. Maybe she doesn't want to use that doctor anymore and is looking for another one. Maybe she doesn't have the money to take her right now. There are million "maybes" here, and you'll only know when you talk to her. If your help is needed, you can offer it then.

Very tough situation. Did your granddaughter desperately need to go to the doctor or did you just think she did?
If my mom did that I'd be furious but I don't think I'd keep her from seeing my child. Of course, if my daughter needed to go to the doctor I'd take her too.
Be very careful about crossing the line. You are not your granddaughters mother, so if she's not being abused or neglected, butt out.
You need to contact your daughter, tell her you were wrong and beg for another chance to prove you can be a good grandma. Promise never to do that kind of thing again and stick to that promise.
You raised your daughter. As long as she's not endangering her child, you need to let HER be the parent.

You did the right thing, If you want to see your grand daughter then take your daughter to court they have grandparents rights check for your state. your daughter should be ashamed . she is lazy and not a good mom and you have the right and authority to make sure your granddaughter is taking care of properly. and if your daughter does not like it then she needs to clean up her act. good for you. lol

Your daughter is being selfish, and I don't think that you did the wrong thing. But you have to consider the consequences before you do something. Maybe apologize to your daughter and see whether she accepts it. Apologize so that she will let you see your grandaughter. Tell her how sorry you are (sorry that you can't see her) or reprimand her if she still views you as an authority figure.

No. You did the right thing. The child's well being is what is important. Your daughter will come around.

Sounds like you over stepped your boundaries......unless the child is being abused you should keep your mouth shut.

A doctor is not the authorities.....They are the Police.

Well you don't say it, but if it is child abuse, you are obligated by law to report it.
