Why does it seem that girls from the ages of 13-16 so giggly?
Why is everything funny and non-serious to them?

For the same reason little boys of that age think farts and burping are reasons for loud laughter. It comes from being self-conscious, self-aware, and uncertain. They want to be recognized as young adults, but they're still in the baby state, the impulsive, silly part. They giggle to cover up that they don't know where they fit in on things.

Some girls are giggly to be cool, some do it to try and impress the guys, and some do it in a flirty way. Also sometimes girls can be hyper or really happy when a guy is around them and they like to giggle. Everyone likes to laugh... so dont hold it against them... it's just part of most girls' personality.

Its usually a sign that they are nervous!! Girls tend to giggle when they are unsure of themselves or nervous while boys tend to do silly things like fart or burp. (I prefer the giggling personally!) Some immature girls also think that its "cute" to be all giggly and flirtatous when really its just kind of annoying to most guys the same age!
It just comes w/ the age!!

We are serious sometimes-honestly I think you'd prefer us giggly then overdramatic about everything. We are giggly because we are happy, when we are sad, you won't see us giggling. Giggling is a funny word isn't it *giggles*

It doesn't always end there....I am 38 and I still get giggly from time to time. I think it's just a nervous thing.

Everything's funny cause we just wanna live and forget our troubles and all the drama of girls and laugh.
Laughing is fun.
Drama is not fun.
Girls have more drama to laugh off than boys.
