maybe i didn't make it clear.as a christian I value the life I have been given also, I value the giver even more. What I wanted to know is, if for some reason in today or some tomorow someone wanted you to renounce your belief, faith whatever you want to call it would you? would you change your faith to save yourself?

Since it came up in a response, I'll share my answer which I apologize I should have done in the first place.
Yes I would die for my faith in Christ [God]. I hope to never have to do it and I would hate to leave my kids but I would because it is more important than anything I have or posess. Christ gave His life for me I would gladly give mine for Him. He will care for my kids. I would be scared as Hell to stay for the tribulation but I would do that as well to give others the chance I had.

Very admirable. Don't let the anti-theists make you think twice.

Renouncing your faith is not losing your faith. You cannot ever lose your faith, but only misdirect it. Faith is something that you are born with and can never leave you. It creates the world in which you live by what you focus your faith on. How are you directing your faith? Towards the joy? Towards the pain and fear? Only you and God can know this for sure.

Very good, and I am with you sister. Be it known that all of us are going through the same thing and you are not alone. If that other person thinks that God would allow your children to be alcoholic losers then they are sadly mistaken. There is nothing "Romantic" about dying.....it's gonna hurt like hell. Praise you Lord Jesus for this sisters Convictions and Faith in you. I ask you to saturate her with your sweet sweet presence and encamp your angels around her in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. As always I thank you in advance for answered prayer. Amen.

Question everything trust nothing... I have no beliefs every one is screwed up ... God does not come from religion, if their is one. And Jesus did not die for our"sins" if he did he should show himself now when the world needs guidance the most

Jesus did not expect or want you to be a martyr. That was his job. He was the last sacrificial lamb. Dead Christians spread no word. Dead Christains raise no children.

You are the word and the truth, you better LEARN to accept that responsiblity.

If you don't your punishment will be harder than that of ANY atheist.

Change my faith? Heck no. In fact I'd speak out as long as possible until they killed me. They'd either have to kill me quick or break my face to the point I couldn't speak anymore to shut me up. :)

wow, that's scary. the fact that you would leave your own children!!!!!

he won't care for your children when you're gone, they will grow up as orphans. drug addicted and parents by the time they're 15. alcoholic losers living off the system. please don't make this situation any more romantic than reality.

your thoughts sound like thoughts of people who have been involved in cults. you can't say you're different because you know the truth, because they thought they were different because they thought they knew the truth

People who don't believe in your religion are also dying for it being that you folks are holding back stem cell research. Good people dying right now because science makes you feel uncomforatable.

Personally, I would do whatever helped the greatest number of people. That certainly isn't always death.
