You can do an "insert" to get the page number, indicating if you want it to be in the header or footer on the page.
You can click on "view header and footer) to actually SEE that page number. It's here that you will be able to type your name whereever you want it.
Good luck.

You probably don't want a header or footer on the first page, so:

- View
- Header-Footer (you get the header/footer toolbar)
- click the Setup button on the header/footer toolbar
- click different first page
- click "apply to" whole document
- click the "switch between header/footer" button to position the cursor in the footer
- you should see footer section 1 - leave it blank
- click the "show next" button on the h/f toolbar
- you should see footer section 2

- type your name on the left
- create a right tab near the right margin (cl Format, tab, enter 6" or 7", click right, o.k.)
- tab to the right tab
- click the "insert page number" button on the h/f toolbar
- click Close
