The composite is the filling material already. If the stain is outside/or within the borders of the composite material,it can then be removed with the use of polishing kits(provided its not heavily stained). If the stain is inside, impossible to clean already.,the stain/discoloration inside may have been brought about by the carious lesion(cavity)that was not removed during the drilling.Coz if there's still a carious lesion inside,it will reflect on the composite filling material. In that case, you would have to repeat the filling(remove all carious lesion first before filling with new composite filling).Over the years, discoloration really happens on composite filling material, its always a consideration when its on the front teeth, for esthetic reasons.

IF ANY STAINS PENETRATE THE COMPOSITE, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN IT. WHAT IS OFTEN DONE IS A THIN LAYER OF STAINED COMPOSITE IS REMOVED AND A NEW LAYER OF COMPOSITE IS ADDED ON TO WHAT WAS REMOVED.
BLEACHING WITH TOOTH WHITENING COMPOUNDS WILL NOT WORK.
