If I let it air dry her curls will lock and look nice, but other than that, if she naps her hair looks like a monsters. Is there anything out there non damaging that maybe you can run through it with your fingers? or any tips?

I know people are gonna boo this, but it works:

a TINY bit of baby oil will do the trick.

your child will grow with the most softest curls if you do this.
hispanic mothers use it for their children and I have witnessed the results. older children end up having manageable soft curls.

you have to make sure you use a little bit, because you don't want a greasy baby.

They have baby gels. lol.
My aunt used to use them on my cousin.

They don't have most of the chemicals and are supposidly better for you than the regular gels. But they don't hold as well.
But if you're just looking for something to help keep the curls shape, you might want to try that.

I'm not sure what the name of it is, as it's been 3 years since he was small enough to let anyone touch his hair. (He's 5 now, don't mess with his hair, he'll probably bite you. xD).

Try Target or something like that in either the hair care section, or the baby section.
They're bound to have something for you.

My son has this problem as well it if air dries and nothing is rubbing on it in the mean time it looks great but if he wears a hat or takes a nap it gets nappy in the back and sometimes "fros" out. I use leave in conditioner so i can brush through it with out it hurting then i put a lil water to make the curls tight again.

My daughter's hair is very curly (but not very coarse). She's 5 years old. I use Target's generic brand of detangler/leave-in spray conditioner (which I feel is better than the name-brands) - or on the tough days, I use BioSilk or V05 leave-in conditioner in the tube.

Good luck!

biosilk is really nice and tames & softens curls. Not sure if ou would want to use it on a baby though. When I swim I use baby oil , it makes the curls look really nice.

Mainstream hair care products contain all kinds of chemicals, some are suspected of causing cancer. I would leave the baby's hair alone!

She's 14 months old and you want product in her hair!?! Let her hair be natural, just brush it out after her naps. She doesn't care what it looks like.
