I would just lower my food serving and drink less sugary drinks and drink lots of water. Take a walk around the block about an hour after you eat and you are sure to lose weight. Good luck.

yeah, I have great news for you. First of all you are young so your matabolism works well. On average you can lose 2 pounds a week still staying healthy. However if you have put on weight in the last year then once you start dieting and exercising you are likely to lose a few more. My advice, start today right now and by prom, depending of course on your weight now, you should be able to lose 8-10 pounds healthy. Okay I had a baby recently and needed to lose weight bad. I started this diet and it was amazing.
Special K
banana
veg soup
turkey sandwich(wheat bread no mayo)
baked chicken or chicken sand
any green veg
sweet potato
apple
glass of skim milk
I know it sounds tough to stick by but it really isn't. Also if you are hungry still just add another bowl of special K. See if your mom will help you out by buying the right foods for your diet. You can eat as many apples, grapefruits, or oranges as you want.
Then exercise. Even as little as 10 minutes a day will help alot. Good news, it's summer. Ride a bike. That hits more areas than you think. walk or run if you don't have a bike. Well Good luck and don't worry. If you truely try you will inspire yourself and lose weight before you know it

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

eating small meals a day from all food groups will change your long term metabolism. also, 3 bowls of special k cereal for 2 weeks can drop from 3-5 pounds. exercises include pilates. the first week of it is extremely painful but you may tone your body slightly after 2-3 weeks.

Well, start running every day, seriously, get off your butt and do it (I tell myself that EVERY day!) And make sure you push yourself really hard... but if you can't run, then walk a lot, twice as much as you would run make sure you get your heart rate up! and eat salads with 3oz of meat... drink milk and eat yogurt (both fat free kind)... and drink a TON of water. I bet if you do this, every day, you will have lost enough to fit back into that dress! But you have to start ASAP!
