1st is fulfilled prophecy. God spoke to men telling them of things that He would bring about in the future. Some of them have already occurred. Others have not. For example, there were more than 300 prophecies concerning Jesus Christ's first coming 2,000 years ago. There is no doubt that these are prophecies from God because of manuscripts and scrolls dated before the birth of Christ. These were not written after the fact. They were written beforehand. Scientific dating proves this...

2nd, The Bible was written by approximately 40 human authors over a period of approximately 1,600 years. These men were quite diverse. It was written on 3 different continents, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Yet, the great themes of Scripture are maintained in all the writings. The Bible does not contradict itself. There is no way apart from God supervising the writing of the Bible that this could have been accomplished.

Lastly, archaeological findings support the history recorded in scripture. Though many unbelieving people throughout history have tried to find archaeological evidence to disprove what is recorded in scripture, they have failed. It is easy to say that scripture is untrue. Proving it to be untrue is a different story. It has not been done.

Inspired scripture is a very exciting phenomenon in that it engages all the senses simultaneously as opposed to just the brain. Inspiration or illumination involve being able to feel as well as think. I believe there is a special place inside each of us that distinguishes truth from false and good from evil. When I engage ancient religious texts I look for clarity, when I find it I know that it is the real deal. If it is confusing and contrdictory I let it go. I never go to the bible for truth unless I am led there for a specific purpose by the Spirit of truth.

The bible is what is called "Faction" A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not! There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded! There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death! He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record? Even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death! Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter! At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed! The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god! He took the Jewish religion, organized it into Christianity and then into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!! Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely ITALIAN! Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! How did the apostles write their books more than a hundred years after they would have been dead?

Hi there!!,
We know that the Bible is inspired by God because His Word tells us so. Not just that, but, the Holy Spirit lead these men as they wrote down what God wanted them to write.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

I hope this helps!
God bless you!!!

The stars in the sky are proof of a single overall universal Power. Somehow the CREATOR has put the whole universe in its place and controls all that there is.

Well, what if I told you that God inspired me to understand it? I mean, if God inspired the Bible, why wouldn't He want me to know it?

. . . and then there are those who don't believe that it is, who also tend to claim that there isn't a God to be found in the Bible. That's sounds logical to me. The ones who claim that He's not there don't understand it, what's not to understand about that? The God I find in the Bible says that He bring those people who believe Him to understand Him. Those that do not believe in Him are given to not believing the Bible. That makes sense to me because God says in the Bible that He rewards those who trust Him, and reserves His wrath for those who do not trust Him.

To me, it's all axiomatic.

Because God loves the sheep herders and so he gave them his "word". He didn't care much about all the other people on earth, so they never got the "word".

So the sheep herders went on to write the words down (after they broke the tablets inscribed by God) and that's what became the Bible.

We don't know . Cause so many stories in the Bible have been done through mouth to mouth telling the stories.
So I do not believe in alot of this Bible grap. Cause it gives me the burbs every time I hear the right Christians wing, proclaim to love and be Christ like, when in reality they spread hate towards those who are different. The God like I might believe in somewhat. But the rest of it is bulshit in my eyes.

The only place it says it was inspired by God is the preface that some guy wrote 70 years ago.

I have faith that my God has delivered his message to me today exactly how he wants me to hear it. I find the witnesses to be credible because I don't believe any man, let alone several would sacrifice everything they had to devote themselves to their calling, even to death, knowing that it was false. Call me naive, callme what you will, I have talked to God about this, he confirms my beliefs...
