Nope. A company was contracted to build a whole mess of homes in the area where I live. In fact, I've been in a few others... the floor plans are almost identical to mine.

That depends on exactly what you are asking.

Did God himself put His hands to the hammer and nail and physically build the house where I live? Did He set the brick and mortar? Did He paint the walls?

No - I don't believe He did.


Did God give mankind the intelligence to design, build, and decorate this house? Did God work through that intelligence to provide a home that is safe for my husband, me, our dogs, and our (future) children?

Yes, I believe He did.



Or - if you are referring to a spiritual house, as in "household" (two or more people living together as a family) - then yes, absolutely I believe He built my house. Both my husband and I are Christians. We've each been through our share of heartaches and struggles, including broken marriages (due to infidelity on the parts of our former spouses). Yet He has stayed with us, increased our faith, and it is because of Him that we are together today.
