No, I don't mean right now at this very second, but in your scripture studying.
I've just started Ephesians, although I still need to go back and finish the OT. I got bogged down in Isaiah.

I try to read for understanding too, so it's a slow process. I guess that's why I'm bogged down in Isaiah, there's just so much in there.
I am also reading it for the first time all the way through.
Thanks for all the honest answers so far.

Fragile: No, that's not terrible. Sometimes that's the best way to study, just let the Holy Spirit guide.

I'm in about chapter 10 of Genesis. I'm taking my time to sink in everything and understand clearly before moving on. I read a page or two everyday.

As a matter of fact, I'm in Isaiah right now, on my quest to read through the Bible for the first time ever. I am using The Contemporary English Version of the Bible from The Bible Society . I find it so good for the OT.I haven't found any part that's not in line with other known versions, except it reads along like a modern book. Ephesians is good too. It's so good to relate to someone who enjoys Bible reading too. At our Church we are just starting " The Purpose Driven Community"/ "What On Earth Are We Here For ? " It's going to be awesome. We did The Purpose Driven Life ", and it was so good. Rick Warren is really a man of God.

I am on Acts 12. I started on Genesis about a year ago and have skipped around. I have read Revelation several times becuase it connects with the rest of the Bible so much.
I have to agree. Isaiah can get boring, but there are some very important verses in it that connect to Jesus.

We have abible study called 66 in 365 and it comes with a guide and CD. I taught a discussion group that went over each reading once a week. It is really a great way to bond and discuss the bible in a peer setting. It also helps because sometimes chapters are really hard to stay with. Your friends can help you out. Good Luck! It is the best book I have read! :)

The "study" of The Bible of The True Christian Faith is a lifetime endeavor.... and I do not think that there is one mortal who has ever completed that study. And if any one tries to say they have I would seriously doubt their understanding.
I do not believe that it is possible to "finish" any part of it. I came to God seven years ago at the age of 53... if I make it through even 10% of The Bible before I go Home I will consider myself to be fortunate.... Then I can go on to the post graduate work at the feet of The Master

I've read the Gospels a few times. I enjoy the Gospel of John, because his theme is about the love of God. I also enjoyed the letters of Paul, it helped my align my thought process with those of the Apostles. I'm trying to read the Bible cover to cover, which i've been told its good to do it once to know the history. But I've been taught that the knowledge of the Gospels is our saving grace. To know the Gospels is to know Jesus Christ our savior and to know God his father.
Good luck in your studies and search for your answers.
God be with you.

The Cover! I haven't read in a while. I just like to randomly flip to stuff I feel like reading... Is that terrible?
