I think any GOD loving individual is always against violence of any kind towards another individual.

No where in the Bible does it speak of harming anyone, if people were harmed it was up to GOD and his wrath when it comes to Sin.

I agree as Christians we are not to judge other people..HOWEVER are we not allowed to quote biblical scripture where GOD has pointed out certain human acts or behaviors as sinful???

...No doubt about it, people lie, people cheat, steal people have committed homosexual acts, infidelity, fornication

GOD did not say theses people are unworthy jerks he did say these acts are and we should repent of our sins...It might not be PC in today's age but that does not omit what is written in the Bible unless you want to condemn the Bible as Hate Speech
Thoughts?

Very good presentation Marie...You have covered a few issues that I have wanted to address.....Many just do not understand where we are comming from, our agenda and most importantly the intent of our hearts when sharing and defending the Gospel in love.

The bible is hate speech period. Sin is for people who believe in sin. The rest of us who live in reality call it making choices. As far as, making hate speech and the bible illegal that is not possible in the United States nor would I advocate such a position. To do so, would only fuel the Christian Persecution Complex (CPC). If you believe homosexuality or fornication is a sin (or wrong), then don't do it but don't expect me to live by your fantasy book.

Wow! Where do you get ideas like that? I despise organized Christianity as the source of much of the evil in this world and have been a hard core atheist for over half a century and I have never, not ever, heard of anyone who wanted to condemn the Bible as hate speech. As an ancient historical document it cannot be expected to meet today's standards of political correctness.

As a Humanist, I am certainly against censoring the Bible or any other book without an extremely good justification. I know that the Bible is not the "blueprint for living a godly life" that Christians seem to think it is, but that's no justification for "outlawing" the book.

Good idea. Much of the Bible is bigotry and hate speech.

But I do not support censorship. You should be able to say what you like. But if it's silly or asinine, then don't expect it to be some kind of law or even for people to tolerate it.

And did you forget about stoning and all that?

Funny, because if they take away the bible, they have to take away the Talmud from the Jews. That's the Old Testament (y'know, the one with all the little hate speeches and destruction that are always brought up against Christians). And you just know that they'd never dare touch anything in Judaism for fear of discrimination and racism.

The character "God" in your Bible causes and condones so much violence its sickening.

That you don't even realize it because of all the religious indoctrination is frightening.
