TaganYou know as well as I do that these are Catholic Ideas that are NOT Found in the Bible and should not be any part of a religious organization that wants to call itself CHRISTIAN or Christ-like. Have a great day.
Thanks,

There are no references. Shouldn't that tell you something. If you want forgiveness than ask God, don't ask a priest. As far as an intercessor, it didn't mention Mary but, I found this interesting.
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Everything you asked about is not necessary by any means except through God alone. This verse proves it.

May be I can help you with what you want... :-)
They are not there my friend. No where in the Old or New Testament will you find any verses supporting any of the subjects you mentioned.
First and for most, the Bible teaches that the dead are asleep and know nothing...there fore praying to the dead is useless.
Jesus taught us to pray *Only* to God the Father.
Baptism is for those who Believe...A baby can not believe and besides that, baptism is by immersion.
Also Since the dead are asleep and know nothing there can be no Purgatory.
But I am sorry you asked for support, forgive me for butting in, I will just stop here.

I'm not great at quoting scripture off the top of my head, and I'm not Catholic -- actually, I'm not even Christian -- but I believe that Catholics will openly admit that these things are not stated directly in scripture. However, I think (and Catholics feel free to let me know if I'm wrong) that praying to Mary or to the Saints is alot like asking your church family to pray for you when you're going through hard times. You aren't asking THEM to intervene, you're asking them to keep you in their prayers just as you would ask your pastor. Its the belief of all the Christians I know that the prayers of faithful and pious people do a world of good, and therefore Catholics believe that the prayers of Mary and the Saints will have an even greater effect. I believe that Revelation 5:8 speaks of the saints offering prayers in Heaven.
Also, I think that any Catholic will tell you that only God can give forgiveness for sins, but that Christians should ask penance from the rest of the body of Christ as well -- as one person's sin affects the entire body. God provides eternal forgiveness, a Priest provides forgiveness on behalf of the earthly church.
As far as infant baptism, I do know that Paul stated in both Acts and in 1 Corinthians that he baptized entire households; whether this includes babies or not I couldn't say -- after all, I wasn't there. ;) I also don't really know anything about Purgatory.
As far as salvation through works, I don't believe that Catholics feel that they can earn their own salvation but that godly actions and deeds are a part of salvation; that when God's grace is received through faith, it can only be naturally followed by the desire to manifest your belief in your words and actions. I do know, however, that partaking in Sacraments is NOT necessary for salvation -- if a person dies with the desire for God in their heart, this will be accepted. Baptism (although commanded by Jesus) and the Sacraments are only required by the earthly Church.
Sorry I couldn't give you more scripture. But I hope this gives you a little more to go on.

The first 4 are not in the Bible. We pray to Jesus, and to God and only They can forgive you from your sins. Jesus is our intercessor.
No such thing as Purgatory.
A child, until held accountable, is innocent and does not need baptized until the age of accountability. (no one knows what age that is)
1 John 5:13 "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." (regardless of your good acts)
Read John chapters 14-17. This will help you learn more about Jesus.

Mary is not our intercessor,JESUS is. WE do not pray to Mary, we pray to JESUS. The saints can't do anything for us only,JESUS can. This is a bunch of Catholic stuff, it is not in the Bible. A priest can not forgive your sins, only GOD can. GOD BLESS YOU! Try the New International Version, it may be a little easier to understand.

Thank you for the most intelligent questions anyone could ever ask here or anywhere else for that matter... I am so glad that no one could answer you 'cause if they did, they would have re-written their own bible entirely! 'Cause it sure wasn't in any of the 55 bibles I ever read... no where! at all! It's all man-made stuff and inspired by the small "g" god of Matthew 4 and 2 Corinthians 4:4... and the heads of false religions use these lies to sugar-coat the truth of the bible to their own selfish purposes and agenda... It is so sad; and to think that they could actually make people believe that Mary is the mother of God... when God was Eternelly there; always and that Mary they love to worship which is a sin... was nothing more than the vehicle that God chose at the time to bring His son Jesus into the world to sacrifice a perfect life for our sins... the only ransom that divine justice would require... I really hope and pray in the name of Jesus that this will have opened the eyes of a few... enough that they will go in the one and only book claiming divine inspiration and find the truth of all things for themselves instead of being blinded by blind leaders... Wouldn't that be great??? It might even push Armageddon in the next century!!! Who knows??? As long as the planet is not in absolute threat of being destroyed to the point of having not one living thing left on it, God will not interfere as He wishes for no one to have to die or be destroyed forever... as Hell is nothing more than the grave... Sheol and Hades in the Hebrew and Greek scriptures... Thanks again! for this opportunity!

Why would I talk (pray) to the assistant managers or supervisors when the President & CEO has sent me a invitation to talk to him directly? As others have said, no scriptural support for these practices (and don't forget, celibacy is a voluntary thing in the Bible, it is not mandatory for the clergy!)

No where in the bible will it tell you to pray to Mary or any saint. And no where will it tell you that a priest can pardon sin. We are only to pray to God and in doing so, also to His Son Jesus. And no man can pardon our sins. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can do that. Plus, good works are great. I highly recommend helping your fellow man...But that will not get you into Heaven. God bless you.

Hello,
It's difficult to provide scriptures on the items you are requesting because there are no references in the Bible that supports these claims!
