Why do people even buy dogs?

I don't mean to be arrogant, but dogs are useless animals who never shut up at night and are totally nasty.

Sorry, the word is supposed to be "ignorant".

If a dog bites me, then I'll have to call the pound. Sorry.

Because we LOVE dogs! My dogs are not useless. They protect the house, my family, and our property (car and such) and one will be trained as my personal PSD so that I can get out more. My dogs DO NOT bark all night. They only bark at night if there is a darn good reason. I do not tolerate senseless barking. If someone has a dog barking all night then they need to figure out WHY it is barking and put a stop to it. I can't stand when people let their dogs bark their heads off for no reason (unless they live in the country).

I am guessing you have had your share of bad experiences with dog.

And yes if you are bit by a dog, whom you did not provoke, you should call the pound. You are supposed to report dog bites.

But dogs are not ignorant, but mine is arrogant(lol). Dogs are only as smart as they are taught to be.

But some people are not dog people, and that is fine by me.
I personally don't understand why people buy rodents. But I have nothing against them. So please don't get upset with me.

And I do not hope any bad comes to you. I only hope you do not act out agaisnt dogs.

Sorry but my dogs are not nasty, probably cleaner than some people. My dogs sleep at night unless someone is around the house!!!! Useless, I beg to differ with you!!!!

People buy dogs for companionship, friendship, unequivocal,
undesputed love. Dogs love their human no matter what kind of mood the human is in, no what is going on in their human's life, they still love them.

All they require is a safe, loving home, shelter, food and water.

So that is why people even buy dogs! I feel sorry for you if you even have to ask that question....and, yeah, you are ignorant.

I have known people in my 52 years that are noisier, more useless and nastier than any dog I have ever come across.

I have 3 dogs, all of whom have very different, very distinct personalities , who can be noisy, but that is their way of communicating, and expressing themselves!!! Do consider your ignorant self lectured, whoever you are!!!!

A lot of people buy dogs for companionship if their all alone. Other people buy it for their kids, and some buy it for protection (guard dog). they can be nasty, but it just depends which kind you get. and if they dont stop barking, you get training collars to help them stop. So their really not that bad when you look at some of the reasons and how to train them...

Most people get dogs for the companionship.
Other dogs actually work. They perform tasks that benefit man (hunting, tracking, police work, drug detection, guarding, vermin eradicator etc).
It's OK that you don't care for dogs, but your assessment that dogs are useless animals is incorrect.

Not all dogs are like that. Most are actually very sweet pets. They love you unconditionally. Some can be a pain but most are are great. Now cats....don't get me started!!
