How would i get a title for this car?
I bought this car from a little old woman, whos freind had given her the car, Her freind passed away and she doesnt have the title or registration. Is there any way for me to be able to get a title for this car, its a nice little car and i would love to be able to drive it.

Also i dont think i could get a death certificate or a Will, this car is really old and i have something like a title reregistartion form? or something like that and it had been recent, in 2000, maybe if i show them that and then get a bill of sale with her name on it and that as well maybe that wouold work?

You'll need to get a couple of things.
1. You'll need to get a copy of the death certificate of the friend.
2. You'll need to get a copy of something like the will to show that the property is indeed the friend's car to give away/sell to you. Otherwise the property may belong to a spouse, children, or other hier's and the old woman has no rights to the vehicle to give to you and you may be considered receiving solen property if the hier's come after the car.
3. The friend or heir's of the car need to make out a bill of sale to you signed, and preferably in front of a witness, who should also sign the bill of sale.
Take all 3 down to your local DMV/courthouse to get a replacement title for the car.

Try sueing the lady you got it from. In some states the court will award you the title , then you take that to DMV and get a title

you first need the id# for this car then you can go to moter vechile dept. and get a lost title for this car ypu plan to drive. you can see if there was any insurance on this car from the lady you bouhgt it from. if so,then the insurance company would have a record of the title,or check with the town hall"s records to see if they have anything listed on this car you have purchased.

the vin number should still be on this car, depending on the state your in you could get it from asny tag and title place
