No wedding!

Every girl dreams of a big wedding, but these days, weddings are so expensive. Personally, I think weddings are a waste of money, but it still doesn't stop me from wanting the huge deal. I am currently struggling with the "should we go to Vegas and get married (a wedding and honeymoon all at once) and have the party when we get home, or spend a rediculas amount of money to have the whole shebang..... I am leaning towards the whole shebang.

i want a decent sized wedding but not a big one. i want it to be my friends and family, not every single person i have met my whole life like some women do. why invite people you aren't close with? just to have a big wedding? that's stupid. on the most important day in my life i want people that are important to me there. so my family and friends would be enough. nothing really small but nothing big just an average amount of people. i think when you have too many people it can get too much of a hassle with seating, food, thanking everyone. keep it simple.

I'd say a medium wedding... just family and good friends... I don't need a huge wedding where there are a whole bunch of people I don't even know there. Just so long as all the people I love are there (plus whomever the groom would like to invite) I'll be happy.

First of all, not EVERY girl dreams of a big wedding, Kristy. I know I never have, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

If I were to ever have one at all, I'd want it to be small-ish - like not more than 50 or 60 people. That should be enough to cover the people who really matter and who you'd really want to witness the occasion.

small wedding, save the money from a big wedding for something you need or want

Everything in moderation. I say as long as it's simple, my fiancee says he wants me to have a big wedding because when we get older, i'll regret that i didn't have a big, luxurious, wedding. I don't want a barbeque wedding, but i wouldn't mind having it with just close family and friends

I had both...
the ceremony was in a nice size traditional wedding church all white with wooden benches on sides and nice stain glass windows, and my reception was in a budget based setting the outside wasn't all that but the inside banquet hall was decorated nicely. I invited 100 people and they ALL went. Basically it was small in the sense that I could not afford a top of the line place but big inthe sense that i invited every one I wanted to be there.

Medium sized...150 at the most-and that's including me, my guy and the entire wedding party. I'd like to actually get to speak to all my guests. And financially, I wouldn't be able to have as nice quality a wedding if I went too huge.

Actually, my fiance and I are in the process of considering this right now. We are both leaning towards a VERY small and intimate wedding...closest family and closest friends for a backyard barbecue sounds really nice. And I really hate getting dressed up fancy at the best of times, so getting married in a really pretty sundress would be just my style.
