I live in the UK also & there is a lot of d**ks who respond with stupid answers I have noticed that.
I am sorry but I never seen the original question.
I am so sorry to hear about your dog.
I have had dogs since I was a child (32 now getting old lol)
Do you know whos dog it was that attacked? there the ones who should have been reported. People dont seem to care what there dogs are doing. A lot of people let them out the house dont care were they go what they do cause they thought having a dog would be fun found out they need looked after, loved, trained etc but really cant be bothered.
I love my dogs & would never leave them to wander the streets fend for themselves etc.
I hope your dog is doing well.

Just read your earlier question that you were reported for. So sorry to hear you were as people who did obviously didn't read your post fully and didn't realise how distressed you were when asking.
To have your dog attacked 4 times by the same dog and almost killed surely dog lovers with thier own dog at home could have empathised with your distress! Yet instead of offering help/sympathy or advice they reported you, shame on them.
l totally understand why you wanted to sort the attacking dog out, but you just need to go about it another way hun.
1) Get documented evidence/witnesses of any attacks and injuries off this dog. Vet documentation is best along with bills, photo's etc
2) Find out who is responsible for this dog and where it lives.
3) Go to your local Police and tell them you want to press charges against the owner of a vicious dog which is out of control. The Dangerous Dogs Act 1989 & 1991 name a dangerous dog as one which poses a significant danger to humans OR animals and this act covers the attacks your dog has recieved.
4) Tell the Police in no uncertain terms that you want something done about this menace and that you have the evidence of the attacks.
The Police should contact the owner and may get the dog handed over unless the owner can provide secure accomodation for the dog (& prove it is not vicious to humans). lf the dog is handed over any Rescue org would put the dog down as even they will not rehome a fighter.
As l am assuming this is not about money but is about your fear of being attacked with your dog, then the Police involvement and possible removal of this dog should go along way to improving yours and your dogs life (if not saving it!).
Please let me know how you get on and l am hoping your little dog makes a speedy recovery!

hi, im sorry what happened, unfortunately there are some cruel people you think they no it all. This used to be a good site for problems, but lately it's not.
Some dog owners, dont take full responsibility for they pets, and those people who do, always seem to be in the wrong. I get very cross when dogs are of the lead, my children are scared of really big dogs and when we went to the park a lab came running over to my son and knocked him down on the floor, and all the owner said is 'he wont hurt you' not easier to believe when my son was only 6 at the time.
Hope everything works out fine for you. Best wishes Maria

I didn't see your original question but I am sorry to hear of what must have been and still is a stressful time for you.
I can't believe that some sad low life has reported you, just goes to show the mentality of some people.
I hope that your dog is doing well and will soon be back to normal.
Good luck.
PS I have given you a star and it would be nice if everyone did, come on what d'ya all say?

Didn't see your original posting, but sounds like you've had a dreadful time. I know how you feel (not for the reporting business) but my dogs have also been attacked for no reason and it is very frightening and distressing. Hope your dog is on the mend now - but often it causes problems with a dog's behaviour as they become very nervous and defensive. Fingers crossed all is well.

Seems some people are fools & that Yahoo doesn't check when abuse is reported - not a good thing on Yahoo's part..especially when I have seen some REAL & DANGEROUS abuses, along with other fools...,hmm, maybe Yahoo really don't care to investigate things, just cover themselves against abuse...my bad, thought Yahoo cared... sorry about the attack of your dog & hopefully you reported the attacking dog & / or it's owners....Take Care & Be Well :)

I'm sorry about your dog! I hope he's much better! Please don't listen, to some of these people on here. They have nothing better to do, than to sit at their computer, and post stupid questions and answers, just to get a rise out of people. Don't let it bother you! There are alot of people on Answers, that take these questions seriously, and really do try to help, to the best of their ability.
