Right! theists claim two mutually exclusive things:
1) The bible or other book is 'absolutely true'.
2) Such book(s) are subject to 'many different interpretations'
What kind of truth is subject to many different interpretations, certainly not scientific truth..

Not exactly.Absolute truth comes more from within then what you are exposed to externally. The problem people face is they are trying convince others their truth is right for everyone. When beliefs suggest a person be merely right for them self.Their is sufficient evidence to suggest divine intervention.Though there is no evidence to support there is but one divinity. To be a true believer one must look within and base all things from that.Perhaps beliefs should be viewed much like higher education. Not everyone goes to college to become a scientist, nor do they all go to become archaeologists. Some people pick a major which will net them the most money only to find they never truly become satisfied with what they are doing. Some look for what is the fastest to minimize their scholastic workload. Then some decide a major based on their passion only to find 2 years later their passion evolved to something else. Then there are those who knew exactly what they wanted to do since childhood and work to fulfill that calling.I'm not Atheist though I do understand the concept and reasoning behind the belief.Because in the end it is just that a belief.Though different then what is perceived by theists no less in value when applying it to an individuals notion of absolute truth.Beliefs and the absolute truths behind them should be left to the individual perspective rather then applied to the masses.Being it is based solely on an inner feeling rather then tangible touchable facts.Science wont even apply a 100% proof positive to anything based on the belief there is always an unforeseen circumstance of equation. In the end we are left with our own concepts and inner callings if yours is shared by others it doesn't mean it is shared by all.Just because one finds their truth should no way imply that everyone else should have to accept the same truth as theirs.By the way jethro monkeys do talk you just don't understand what they are saying.Under that ideology because I speak English everyone else that speaks a different language must be a monkey.

Untrue.
First, you cannot clump all "God-believers" into a single category of "Theist". Religions run the range from one God to miltiple -gods and each does present what it considers "absolute evidence" for the existence of that particular God or gods.
Based on that evidence, they conclude that their "god(s)" have the absolute truth and worship in their own way.
Insofar as being inconsistent or worship being disagreed upon, those that believe that God is the absolute truth will usually point out that life is spent uncovering God's truth, scientifically or otherwise. Many "Theists" if you research it, will admit that their understanding of God's truth is not perfect. In doing so, it is the Human who works to see the absolute truth that is God and does not claim that his or her understanding is perfect.
God can be absolute truth, and is. It is the Human that does not see that truth completely.

Nope, while I don't believe in any religion, your argument is full of fallacy. By making theist (or all God believers) into one religion you appear to make your argument solid. However, this can not pass close scrutiny. See each Religion is its' own grouping and thereby, even if it has the same name, it must be considered that each religion worships it's OWN SEPARATE god. As such they view all other religions in the "wrong" pile with atheists (albeit to different degrees. Then each religion WOULD be in agreement amongst themselves and your first statement would be answerable by point of your second statement and you would've made an argument proving that the theists are correct (religion by religion). If you want to correctly prove the non-existence of Deity by way of correct argument you should try this:
1 All theists believe in God.
2 God grants faith to believers.
2 God is an "entity" because he affects reality (in granting faith).
3 All entities must possess a physical location in the reality they inhabit.
4 No religion has knowledge of the physical location of God IN THIS REALITY.
5 Therefore religions may believe God exists OUTSIDE of this reality.
6 If God exists outside of this reality then he can not affect this reality.
7 Therefore God cannot grant faith.
8 Then faith is meaningless.
9 God exists by faith alone according to Theists.
10 Thus, there is no God.
If argued that entities can exist apart from their properties (as is part of the dictionary definition). The counter argument is that if God has no properties than he cannot affect reality and therefore does not live. Hence, God is dead.
If argued they know exactly where God lives, call a local sanitarium immediately and try to contain your laughing when the white coated men come and put your Theist in a straitjacket.

You were doing good until you atacked the Bible. That was a mistake.
Genesis parellels the Big Bang Theory and Dr. Carl Sagan's Cosmic Month with too close for confort documetation.
The Universe is 14-15 billion years old, the sun and earth are 4.5-5 billion years old or 2/3 from creation
GENSIS pins the Sun and the Earth on the 4th day out of a 6 day creation cycle or 2/3
Wow and it was written at least 3,000 years ago!
NOT BAD
Carl Sagan says MAN came along in the first minute of the first hour of the last day of the 30 day month
The Bible says MAN came along on the 6th day and then GOD immediately RESTED on the 7th day
So man came just before Midnight on the 6th day
VERY close to Dr.Sagan's view!
Jesus restored life with the touch of his hand
Doctors and Boy Scouts trained in a 50 year old concept of CPR do the same thing.
Jesus, however, did that 2,000 years ago, not 50 years.
Don't DISS the Bible.
There is a Biblical passage about a "man made of metal that ate a roll of parchment and spoke"
I used to deal with punch tape, paper software
Software can make computers speak
That passage is 2,000 to 3,000 years old
Don't DISS the Bible
If you do, then also DISS Jules Verne, HG WELLS, Star Trek for their flip phone communicators, Johnnathan Swift for his early notation of Mars' two small moons.
DISS THEM AS WELL
Be an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY DISSER!
The BIBLE has MORE about the FUTURE than anythiing Plato or Soccrates ever wrote
Start DISSING THEM TOO!
Or are you some type of NEARSIGHTED, NARROWMINDED bigot!
One who refuses to see past their own nose.

Wrong!!! We do have it, but you wont hear about it in the secular media they suppress the truth and blind the world with fabrications.
And as far as The Different denominations in Christianity are concerned, we all agree on the Core message of Christ, That being the Son Of God, but differ only in the interpretations of the other smaller doctrines, It is the same God, Now as far as the other religions go>
Critics often ask why Christianity is any better than any other religion in the world. After all, of all the religions that exist how can it be that only Christianity is true? If God exists, why can't God use different religions? Don't all paths lead to God? Skeptics ask these kinds of questions all the time and, unfortunately, few Christians have the the answers. Therefore, in an attempt to demonstrate why Christianity is true and all other religious systems are false, I've prepared the follow list of reasons for Christianity's superiority.
There are such things as absolute truths
If truth is relative, then the statement that truth is relative is an absolute truth and would be self defeating statement by proving that truth is not relative. But, if truth is absolute, then the statement "truth is absolute" is true and not self defeating. It is true that truth exists. It is true that truth will not contradict itself as we have just seen. In fact, it is absolutely true that you are reading this paper.
If we can see that there is such a thing as truth in the world, then we could also see that there can be spiritual truth as well. It is not absurd to believe in spiritual absolutes anymore than physical or logical absolutes. Even the statement that all religions lead to God is a statement held to be a spiritual absolute by many people. This simply demonstrates that people do believe in spiritual truth. Why? Because truth exists. However, not all that is believed to be true actually is true. Furthermore, all belief systems cannot be true since they often contradict each other in profound ways -- and truth is not self-contradictory.
Mormonism teaches that there are many gods in existence and that you can become a god. Christianity teaches that there is only one God and you cannot become a god. Islam teaches that Jesus is not God in flesh where Christianity does. Jesus cannot be both God and not God at the same time. Some religions teach that we reincarnate while others do not. Some teach there is a hell and others do not. They cannot all be true. If they cannot all be true, it cannot be true that all religions lead to God. Furthermore, it means that some religions are, at the very least, false in their claims to reveal the true God (or gods). Remember, truth does not contradict itself. If God exists, He will not institute mutually exclusive and contradictory belief systems in an attempt to get people to believe in Him. God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). Therefore, it is reasonable to believe that there can be an absolute spiritual truth and that not all systems can be true regardless of whether or not they claim to be true. There must be more than a mere claim.
Fulfilled Prophecy concerning Jesus
Though there are other religions that have prophecies in them, none are 100% accurate as is the Bible and none of them point to someone like Jesus who made incredible claims and performed incredible deeds. The Old Testament was written hundreds of years before Jesus was born. Yet, the Old Testament prophesied many things about Jesus. This is undoubtedly evidence of divine influence upon the Bible.
Please consider some of the many prophecies of Jesus in the following chart.
Prophecy Old Testament Prophecy New Testament Fulfillment
Born of a virgin Isaiah 7:14 Matt. 1:18,25
Born at Bethlehem Micah 5:2 Matt. 2:1
He would be preceded by a Messenger Isaiah 40:3 Matt. 3:1-2
Rejected by His own people Isaiah 53:3 John 7:5; 7:48
Betrayed by a close friend Isaiah 41:9 John 13:26-30
His side pierced Zech. 12:10 John 19:34
Crucifixion Psalm 22:1,
Psalm 22:11-18 Luke 23:33;
John 19:23-24
Resurrection of Christ Psalm 16:10 Acts 13:34-37
Fulfillment of prophecy can have different explanations. Some state that the NT was written and altered to make it look like Jesus fulfilled OT prophecy (but there is no evidence of that). Others state that the prophecies are so vague that they don't count (but many of the prophecies are not vague at all). Of course, it is possible that God inspired the writers and Jesus, who is God in flesh, fulfilled these prophecies as a further demonstration of the validity of Christianity.

Christianity is the only religion that claims truth outside of discovery. Other religions allow for you to come up with your truth about who God is, Christianity makes a definite stand (theoretically) on who He is and what He has done. This may be an exaggeration as some "christian" faiths are loose with their definition as well. The standard doctrine of the major Christian denominations will agree that our God presents Himself as an absolute.

I love how people are responding with bible quotes self perpetuating truth.
L. Ron Hubbard claims to have the truth and was inspired to write it down, how can Christians deny his truth as fallacy and claim theirs is true, when they use the same form of evidence?
