I'm 21, I've never gone on any dates, except for the prom. I'm starting to feel like I'm really missing out on a lot of stuff. A collegue gave me an ultimatim. By Wednesday I have to at least approach someone and asked if they'd like to hang out, on campus preferably at the cafeteria. I was brought up very conservatively. I don't like drinking or partying. The last time I tried to ask someone out the person ended up being taken and it didn't end very prettyly. I'm still a little haunted by it. How do I do this?

No offense. I find online dating to be very stupid. I'm never going to feel the person or actually talk to them in real life. How do I know the person is telling the truth? Onine dating is not for me.

The previous time, I won't get into details but it was more than a 'no' and other things got involved.

don't let the past get you down baby girl. none of us hit a home run first at bat. make it a casual as a part of a conversation. talk to that person that you'd aleast talked to in the past. say " hey, ---movie is playing this weekend, let's go and see it." it's a harmless asking someone out.

21 years old I wish I was that again. When I was 21 and in collage I was a fool any and every collage girl I meant I bedded. Now I am a old fool I see the young fool that I was. It is ok that your 21 and never been on a date. If I had meant a women like you back then I would have married her not just f---every one I meant and that was a lot of women. if you sprad them I will that it and not merry it. The one I merried at age 34 would not give it to me. We have ben merried 14 years now with 2 girls " I do not care what anyone says take your time. Do what is right for you and not any one else says or wont". Please take it from me all a 21 year old man wants is your p----- not your brains and if he get it he will be happy. Where you give it to him you give you hart as well and it will be hart. Good luck have fun and be safe.

Funny that you ask this question because I am in a similar situation. I have never and will never approach a man. It's just not for me. I think that you just have to open your social life up; get involved or go out more. Make yourself available for people to approach you.

ISSUES: TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOURSELF FOR 1 THING. RELAX AND TAKE A DEEP BREATHE. FIRST YOU HAVE TO GET A GOOD LOOK AT THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU ON CAMPUS, TO SEE IF ANY ARE AVAILABLE SO YOU DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. FIND SOMEONE JUST AS LAID BACK AS YOU ARE. LIKE THE LIBRARY OR SOMETHING IN CALMING SURROUNDINGS. RELAX YOU ARE NOT REALLY MISSING ANYTHING AND ONLINE DATING CAN SUCK. BUT GOOD LUCK TAKE IT EASY.

I think its great your mate is forcing you outta your shell-shyness can bring about a string of wasted opportunities-i should know...Is someone saying no really that bad? You just move on to the next and you'll find yourself naturally growing in confidence....Flirting on the internet also helps you hone your technique & tap into what potential lovers really want!...hope that helps...
