Installed this HU on a bmw e46. It works fine but on the radio u can hear some static . You can listen to the radio but this static on the background is very annoying. It was installed at an authorized car audio shop and the antenna is not the problem . I'm thinking it could be some settings that i need to do . Any ideeas ??

There's no settings on the radio that will affect the radio reception. Installing a head unit in that vehicle probably required an antenna adapter, which may be defective. Also, if you have an in-glass factory antenna, there's probably an antenna amplifier in the vehicle that needs to be turned on. This usually is done by connecting the power antenna lead in the harness. Installers sometimes overlook this step.
I'd call the installation shop and ask them to double-check the wiring, and replace the adapter, to see if that solves the problem.

take it back to the place that did the installation
and have them check the antenna
the antenna on some bmw vehicles is electric not because it goes up and down
but because it needs power to amplifie the am/fm signal
when the radio was install they forgot to to power the electric antenna
