I hope so, i think he truely is trying. But all this business stress with DEI is clouding his head and concentration, and the fact that people won't mind their business and stop asking him questions about it every single day and making up rumors and stories doesn't help. I think once this DEI thing gets sorted out we'll see a good improvement again in Dale.

He is on track. His "average running position" is 10th, which is not too bad considering the competition in 2007.
Will he win soon? Possible, but even if he does, it is clear that he will not dominate--again, the competition is incredible.
It is also clear that Hendricks Motor Sports is the closest to "being dominant", as it looks like either Johnson or Gordon will be the Cup Champ this year, and Kyle Busch is 7th in average running position.
Gordon and Johnson are 1-2 in average running position (Johnson is fourth in points). Watching Kenseth, Hamlin and Burton race, along with the Hendricks' threesome, it is clear that Junior will not dominate, is unlikely he will win the Cup, and will even be hardpressed to win a race.
But again, it is not like he is "off track"--his stats are not terrible, he has had some bad luck (the rain cost him a victory among other bad luck cases), so Junior is doing pretty good.
Average running position of 10th among 43 drivers is not bad at all, it just is not dominant nor one of the top three (Gordon, Johnson and Burton).

You mean he hasn't been on track? Dang, no wonder why he isn't winning, tell him to get up off the apron and back on the track.
Sorry, wry joke.
Dale Jr is in a contract/owner struggle. Once its been cleared up, he will be back up on the wheel.

Jr wins about one race a year. He may very well win at Talladega, he's good on the Super Speedways but he'll never be a winner like his dad.

Let's hope not. Tired of hearing about him. Not that my favorite driver is doing good, but Junior can be running 43rd and the camera will be on him the whole race. Ridiculous.
