I choose Christianity when I was about 21. I was pretty much against religion until a college professor made me realize that I knew nothing about religion to hate it. I had never even read The Bible, let alone studied any religion to really understand it and learn what facts support any of them.
I spent several years researching everything from Wicca to Buddism to Satanism. Historically and theologically the facts seemed to back up Christianity and no other religion gives you the forgiveness. There are things you cannot prove obviously, but I cannot clearly prove that I had steak for supper last week, let alone prove that something happened 2,000 years ago. We can only go on historical evidence, archaeological evidence and the biggest thing, the way people change after accepting Christ into there life. (It may take some time to mature, and it does not make you perfect, but I have certainly seen violent men, drug abusers, rebellious kids, and nasty talking women become completely different people just by accepting Christ.)
I believe that there are great things about all of the worlds religions, but no other religion offers Jesus Christ as God's son, or gives you a personal relationship with God.
Buddah never claimed to be a God or the son of God, so current followers worship a person who never claimed to be anything except wise and exhalted. Mohommad was only a prophet. Satan was only a fallen angel. Wicca deals with the spirits and the energy coming from natural things. All of the above worship the things God created instead of God.

I am an Ãsatrúar (or Norse Pagan). The one thing that got me hooked on Ãsatrú is the idea of ancestor worship. It gives me a chance to honor my ancestors by studying and practicing their beliefs.
Actually, my interest in Ãsatrú developed while I was conducting some genealogy research. I traced my family history back to the early sixteenth century and I realized they were heathens. When the Christians missionaries came through Sweden after the reformation, most of the population converted. My ancestors did not. They stuck to their original beliefs and I believe that is something to be admired.
It's a little funny because I was an atheist before I started doing my genealogy research. I never thought I would find a religion that was right for me.
Thanks for asking. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via email. Thanks again.

Thanks for asking. I am a Christian and a member of a Baptist Church. I was born into a Christian family, my parents taking me to church as long as I can remember. When I was 12 my mother told me that I needed to join the church, which I did. In July 1972 I was married, had two children, still a member of a Baptist church, and active in the church. I owned a business in a local mall, where I sold arts and crafts supplies. One Sunday, the pastor preached a message that somehow touched my heart and I was saved. That means hat I turned my life over to Jesus Christ and made him Lord of my life. Since that glorious day, life has not been a bed of roses, but I have purpose and meaning to my life. The Monday after my decision on Sunday, I had to go back to the Mall and explain to some people what had happened in my life. I had to not be involved in some activities, previously enjoyed. Every day with Jesus, is sweeter than the day before. For me, salvation was a life changing experience that I have never regretted.

Christianity is my "religion," but Jesus is my Savior. What I mean is that my walk is not based on churches with their traditions and such. It's based on my relationship with the Lord, my love and understanding of God's Word. To me, God is my Father. When I fall short, He still loves me and when I succeed, He rejoices with me. Though there are consequences for my actions when I choose not to listen to Him, they are a result of MY choices, not God punishing me. When I tell my daughter not to touch the hot stove, she can listen to me because I know what's best, or she can touch it and get a burn. If she chooses to touch, I don't sit her in a time out and tell her I'm disappointed, I nurture her and recommend next time I warn her about danger, maybe she should listen.
I've studied many other religions, including South East Asian religions like Hinduism, etc. to find what's so special about Christianity and here's what it comes down to: It's free. You don't have to "try to be good" to earn your way into heaven like in others. Jesus did all the work already. All people have to do is accept the gift. There's no having to get reincarnated to try to do better next time. You are how you are, imperfect and God loves you anyway.
Sorry, I could go on about this all day. I hope this helps you in your quest.

Wicca. I chose my religion because it was what felt right in my heart. I could never feel as right about any other religion I looked into. I belief everyone's religion is valid and has more positive then negative (barring cults). Wicca means everything to me. It taught me to be tolerant, to have patience, and to realize that I have personal responsibility in that I can't blame my deities for my hard times but only myself because all of my actions have consequences. My deities will support me but not carry me through the hardships.

NONE.
I believe in Jesus Christ.
Jesus, when He walked on this earth had nothing but problems with "religious" people. It was "religious" people who insisted He be crucified. Jesus often said of "religious" people, "Do not be like them."
Christianity is NOT a "religion", it is a "Relationship".
Religion is man-made.
Christianity is God made.
Religion says, do this and do that, say this and say that in order to make yourself acceptable to God.
Christianity says, God came to you, just as you are, and wants to have a relationship with you through His Son, who alone, makes it possible. You can never earn it, it's free to all who will receive it.
God loves you and so do I.
The sower.

Krishna Consciousness, also known as Bhakti Yoga (the practice of devotional service to the Lord) also known as Sanatan Dharma( our eternal occupation in practice) It is Universal and beyond mundane religion. It is the oldest practice and yet eternal. Our main practice is chanting the names of God and we offer all of our activities as a loving service to God also known as Krishna, Allah ,Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We mentally give up the idea that anything is ours and what ever we have we offer it with love and devotion to Krishna (God) It is a wonderful and sublime lifestyle and consciousness. For more information go to harekrishnatemple.co Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells how to attain the highest goal of human life.

Asatru.
Because it's the only religion that fits me. One of the major reasons I am attracted to it is because my ancestors are Norse (Danish/Icelandic), so heritage plays a huge role. Like Norseheathen said (above me), ancestor worship is also what got me hooked too.
