be honest - you don't really want to see us unmasked. When you talk about showing emotions, all you really want to see is the "I love you - I love you - I love you" stuff.

really? You want to see the insecurities, the baggage? The father issues? P-l-e-a-s-e!
I've tried this a few times and it went over like a "nappy-headed-ho" comment at a basketball game.

BlackFrenchBoy, you are 100% on.
I cried once - ONCE in front of a girl. I'll never do it again.

Dude women don't know what they want!
If they see you cry, they'll say you act like a child or you are not strong emotionally
If you don't cry, they say you are too ttough and they want somebody sensitive!

It depends on the emotion and the depth/extent of it. There are ways of revealing your feelings without being emotional about it, but it takes practice and patience on both sides of the fence to get there. I have a guy friend who has more mood swings than a lot of females I know but at least he knows it and is not shy about displaying his different emotions. I'd much rather have that than somebody that's "flat" and one-dimesional all the time about how they express themselves.

As a guy, I think you are right. We are shallow. Thats just the way it is. Yes, we love our wives, girlfriends, children, parents, but we don't think about that every waking moment. Its wow look at the oshiri on that lady, or I want a beer or I want a steak or how about those Dodgers. Its OK tho, its the way we are.

Yes, but to a certain degree. We want men that could show their emotions instead of acting hard and robotic. I don't like male cry-babies though!

If we ask you how you feel or to show your emotions, then thats what we want to see. showing your emotions is not bad, actually to me its kinda refreshing.
