First of all you have to buy the crop; corn maybe and mash it and ferment it, distill it, and distribute it. The estimate is that a gaoolon of ethanol costs 70,000 BTU to produce and it yields 80,000 when burned. It's not a great return.

Thats a very dangerous thing to do. If she cares for this baby that much she would quite smoking. Smoking while pregnant can cause the baby to die in the womb or shortly after birth because of breathing difficulties. The baby can also be born with an addiction to the smoke which can cause brain damage and mental retardation. Just because your friend turned out ok even though her mom smoked. Her baby could be born with many health issues. If she loves and cares about this baby she needs to find help and quite smoking!
