I had my first ballroom dance lesson on Tuesday night. I danced for about 2 hours from 9 to 11 pm. I learned the cha cha and hustle. All of Tuesday I also had a sore throat. When I got home I didn't feel any aches. When I woke up the next morning I started to feel body aches in random areas all over my body. Severl times during the day on Wednesday I also started shivering due to fever. I'm thinking it's the flu. I would like to know, are my body aches caused by dancing or by the flu?

I'm feeling the body aches in my shoulders, legs and back.
I should also add, this is pretty much the 3rd flu I've had in the last 3 months. The first two were only 2 weeks apart. The first 2 had the exact same symptoms. The only symptoms I have here are body aches and sore throat.

you had a sore throat all day Tuesday and still went dancing? What did you expect when you woke up Wednesday? You have a virus of some sort, and there is precious little the doctor can do about it. All viruses are treated essentially the same way, drink lots of fluids, get lots of rest and wait for it to pass.
If you develop a fever greater than 103.0 then you may have a secondary bacterial infection that would benefit from antibiotics, otherwise, it's wait it out. Next time don't go dancing if you already feel ill to begin with.

You have the flu. Dancing is another thing.
